This product is excellent. I was specifically looking for high-quality lighting with a CRI of 90+, which measures how close the light quality is to natural sunlight, and this delivers exactly that. I’m using it as TV backlighting, and it works perfectly. The adhesive is strong and durable, and the 16.4 ft (5 m) length is ideal for a 55-inch TV. The dimmer control works well, and both the brightness and tunable white settings are excellent. It also integrates smoothly with Alexa and Google Assistant. If you’re looking for a high-quality light at a good price, this is definitely a product I recommend.

Before purchasing I emailed PAUTIX customer service with questions. I was planning cut the strip to install under three sets cabinets and control them via a switched outlet. I needed to know if the lights would retain their settings across the segments. I got a quick reply from Bella in customer service confirming the lights could be segmented and retain their settings. She also recommended the connectors and wire I would needed to connect the different segments. Super helpful. Amazon delivered quickly but when I opened my PAUTIX LED light strip, I found that the connectors between the lights and the controller did not match. I emailed PAUTIX customer service describing the problem and within hours had a response requesting pictures of the connectors and the box. Stickers on the box indicated that the light set was previously returned to Amazon and the lights were not the original lights. PAUTIX immediately shipped a new light strip which arrived in just a couple days. It worked perfectly and provides excellent even lighting. The light set itself is super easy to use and control. I cut my strip into separate segments and ran some wiring to connect the segments. My only complaint is that the connectors (purchased separately) are a little difficult to use. They work great on the light strip side but getting the three wires into the other side is difficult an finicky and not super reliable -- it took multiple tries (per connector!) to get a decent 3-wire connection. Even then too much jiggle causes problems. Luckily, once everything is good and mounted there won't be any jiggle. In the end, everything looks and works great! My multiple exchanges with customer service were an excellent experience - fast and easy! I don't think I've ever had a better customer service experience! (Thanks Bella!)

Very easy to work with; and the light is even throughout. I definitely recommend the Pautix connectors (I used strip to wire) if you plan on cutting these to bridge gaps with wires.

Great lighting but 6' shorter than wanted

If I could give this a negative star I would. Do NOT buy this item. These lights were fresh out of the box, still rolled up, got plugged in but not turned on, and they got so hot they started a small fire. They were sitting on top of a thin book of Christmas tags next to a small Polaroid printer and burned through the printer and melted the Polaroid printer. I thought nothing of their placement because they were never turned on only plugged in. This could have easily turned much worse. Again do NOT buy this product.

I use COB and standard led light strips in many of my projects. I’ve been using them since they came out. Even used original rope lighting since they came out. So when I tell you that I cut this system to length and it stopped working, you’ll understand that I’m not a newb at this. Update: the company contacted me upon seeing my review. They offered to replace the item, but I told them I had already discarded it. So replacing was appreciated, but wouldn’t work. They replaced it anyway. The replacement works great. I haven’t installed it yet, but tests all work great. I very much appreciate the response, concern and care they have. Minor issues/ defects come up in manufacturing all the time. It’s the manufacturer/ distributor’s reaction to those issues that make or break a company’s reputation and their relationship with the customer. I’m not sure yet how many stars the product deserves (because I haven’t enough time to use it for a reasonable amount of time), but I’ll give 4 stars because of their customer service. I’ll try to give an update in 6-12 months on the product.

I was a little skeptical about installing these lights under our kitchen cabinets. We had 2 cheap fluorescent lights that came with the house installed under the cabinets, but there was never really enough light, and almost none at either end. These went in simple and easy. We used a vertical/horizontal laser level to make sure they were in a straight line. That was probably the hardest part of the installation. The other was getting the wiring into the connectors. It wasn't until the last two that I realized I could open them wider. I was afraid I'd break them. Don't be. Of course, drilling holes into the cabinets was...stressful, but worth it. We have them set on a soft yellow. The only down side is they look so nice, we never turn them off. Wasteful, yes. But dang, they look great. Really brightens up the counters and the entire kitchen. Going to he moving soon into a new home. I already know what my first project will be...

BanlanX skill was, but is no longer working with Alexa. Giving "Server is unresponsive" error, and cannot control the light with Alexa. edit: It started working again randomly so just going to take off 1 star for not working for a few days
