This light is excellent and provides an abundance of daylight for the new kitchen; the light it emits is not cold or warm but is just right, bright, balanced and awakening in mood. The only issue for fitting was the shortness of the cable which emerges just a few inches long from one end of the light. The ceiling cable was in the middle so I had to solder some 18 inches of cable to the light cable before fixing it to the light circuit. The light unit weighs virtually nothing and was easy to mount. Very satisfied with it. It lights up almost instantly, unlike the old flourescents. A well sorted technology.

A very neat unit and quite easy to fit as there is long cable supplied with the unit. The light output far exceeds the 5ft fluorescent light it was replacing and being LED, it comes on immediately.The only "down" side is that when unpacked, my unit was very slightly bent, which made fitting to the supplied clips a little more difficult.. The carton in which it was packed was of light weight cardboard, so the manufacturers should consider using a more rigid card, in an effort to make it "carrier-proof"

Pro: Very light in weight and easy to clip into the two provided clips(included screws and plugs). Starts instantly. Looks smart in my kitchen and illuminates well with bright but not severe white light.Cons: You need a ceiling that allows the connection and wires to be pushed behind. This sits flush with negligible space between back and ceiling.

Well made, easy to install and a great bright white light - perfect for the garageUpdate 3 years and 3 months on. This product was guaranteed for three years. After 3 years and two months it started to play up with about 40% of the light now turning into a strobe ie flickering . Hopefully just a coincidence and not built in obsolescence. The bulb cannot be changed, so a whole new unit is required. Up until then it had been a great light.

What can I say - pretty easy to fit and it works. I bought it because the cable runs to the middle of the strip, whereas some other similar strips apparently have shorter cables... Ironically, when I removed the old fluorescent strip light a shorter cable would have been fine! It's pretty bright - nearly as bright as the old double tube fluorescent - although you loose the reflected light from the ceiling that you get with tubes. The light quality is a little on the cool side, but not too bad. The way the mounting brackets work is great - they can clip in anywhere so I was able to use the old mounting points so no need to drill new holes.

Just fitted three of these in a garage shed. They are very bright, compared to the much bigger fluorescent tubes they replaced.The mounting clips were a bit fiddly, and tended to bend if the screws were tightened too much, but as the fittings are lightweight that was no real problem.As for lifetime…. We shall have to wait and see.

Wow these are bright. They give a nice even bright light without any flicker.The batten was relatively easy to install, however they appear to be designed for ceiling mount as the cable comes out the back of the unit, and hence if you mount them on a wall like I needed, the cable would prevent the mounting clips from engaging correctly. So I had to drill a hole in the end of the casing to bring the cable out. This could easily have been solved if the manufacturer had created a little grove for the cable to come out the side whilst not getting in the way.

Easy to fit. Looks very neat - much nicer than the old fluorescent tube fitting which gave up the ghost on Sunday night. I bought the daylight version rather than the warm model and the light has a very nice "daylight" colour to the naked eye. I.e. "white", not yellow white. It is also bright, not offensively so, just good light to see what you're doing.Obviously the photo doesn't convey the brightness of the room as the exposure has been affected by the light itself in the frame, but it helps to be able to see the light fitting this way.
