Fix my over heating problem and better price than any autozone by

I recently purchased this wayer pump and timing belt kit and had the part installed and my car is overheating. My mechanic has assessed the issue and said that the water pump is defective. I'm upset because I paid alot of money to have the part installed and now I'm out of my car. I would like to have the part replaced. Please assist. Thanks in advance for your assistance, Ms. Williams.

I should have done more research, it is for the non turbo ej series. The water pump and belt do not work with the turbo engines. But all of the bearings and other pieces fit just fine and seem like good quality.

The case of the water pump was hitting the engine block so that the bolt holes wouldn't line up. I compared it to the old pump and found that it was a lot thicker in the area where it was hitting than it should have been. I ended up grinding it down so that the bolt holes would line up. If you look at the pictures, you can see the mark where it was hitting and then how it was ground to fit. If I wasn't pressed for time, I would have returned it.
