Babylon 5 Compilation From TV Series

I really like the sound track

This CD was a surprise to me. I hadn't put attention to the music for B5 season 1. The Chrysalismusic series are just great, specially Chrysalis 4. The other suprises were Mind War, Geometry of Shadows and Parliament of Dreams. Truly beautiful!

Mr. Franke very obviously has paid his dues. All facets of this CD shine brightly. It is difficult to just sit & listen to this, as it nearly dictates movement on the part of the listener. Not dance, accomplishment. I write a to do list before I listen, then crank it up and get busy, busy, busy.

I think they release a different CD every year, but this compilation is the beginning and the end for me. It contains the best of the best from the series as far as I am concerned...on one CD. You can relive the anticipation and serious moods from your favorite TV show while cruising in your car. I find some of the tracks a great way to start my day...(along with the reprised "original" theme from new Battlestar Galactica soundtrack).

This CD represents mainly music from the first season of the show. The main themes heard included the Requiem for the Line, one of the best pieces from the first season. Also included are snippets of themes used through out the first season. Ranging from quiet, emotional pieces to louder battle sections, Christopher Franke's music is journey of pure excitement. The second season is also represented with music from the first half of the season. A definate change in style can be heard, as the show began to get darker in tone and so the music matches the events of the show. With the first season only represented on this volume and the episodic CD "Chrysalis", I recommend this CD totally. Definately worth purchasing, even if your'e not a Babylon 5 fan.

Not only am I a B5 fan, I also own both major CD's Christopher Franke has released relating to the series. This one, the first of the two, is an excellent compilation of Season 1 themes. It brings back the "good old days" when things were simple and just starting to gain depth in the series. Five stars isn't enough, and the next CD in the series is even better!

The first time I heard his music, I was stunned by the beauty of it... Christopher Franke has managed to recreate all the passion of Babylon 5 in one CD! I listen to a lot of music, and I must say that this is the first that has given me goose-bumps! A must-have for the electronic musician, and a should have for the Babylon 5 fan. END

You don't have to be a B5 fan to love this CD. It is a magical journey through a range of emotions from love to patriotism. I have 5 of the B5 CD's and this is by far the BEST. Enjoy it.
