Voyager Nano Stream Pump 1000 L/H Wave Maker

I have an fluval Evo, 52 litres. Used this setup for mainly coral's. Had jebao SW -2. Propeller pump's. Always had massive problems with them. Very unreliable. Last 6 months, switched my tank to fish only. Installed these voyager nano power head's. I have 1 clown fish, 1 regal damsel fish and 1 emperor cardinal. Although the tank is only 52 litres. It seems to suit the particular fish I have. Especially the emperor cardinal. Spends most of its time, surfing the current ? From these brilliant little power head's.. Which in my experience, is not a narrow direct flow. More of a wide broadcast of current. Probably not suitable for a set up, with mainly coral's. The beauty of these little power head's, is that when positioned at the right angles ? When feeding fish,. the food never gets chance to settle on the substrate floor. Gently swirling around the tank :) until consumed ! Can't praise these power head's enough. 3 year warranty, easy to strip down and clean especially when it comes to the impeller ? Does eventually start to vibrate, from build up of calcium ? Salt ? Very easy to rectify, solution of vinegar and water or even bleach.good scrub with a toothbrush. Reassemble , job done :) Read other reviews about noise on initial start up ? When first turned on. Just a slight click ? Nothing major :) even better. With an fluval Evo, the power head's,can be fitted on the bulkhead, where the filter and pump is fitted, cause of the very slim magnetic back ? Keeping the power head's in position. Very impressed with quality and efficiency of these little power head's! Excellent price as well :) Would highly recommend.

Using in my 35L nano reef tank. It has lasted longer than every Hydor powerhead (about 4) (and a couple other lesser known brands i tried) which is one of the main problems I have found with powerheads. First time cleaning the pump I snapped the plastic case that stops fish etc getting at the impellor, and have had to glue it multiple times (basically anytime i clean it now to get it back on), otherwise would have been 5 star review.

Excellent design which keeps the water flowing and oxygenated. In particular for more expert fish keepers.A filter alone isnt enough to keep bottom dwellers safe and happy.

Quality of manufacture is good. Is quiet and flow direction is easily adjustable. Has a reasonable length of cable. Uses a magnet for attachment which I like as never falls off unlike some that use suction.

I bought this to add a bit of water flow to my 130l tropical tank.The flow level is just about right for my needs (gentle flow) and the pump is really easy to position as it is magnetic.I have a couple of criticisms though. Firstly, every now and then it seems to lose flow and drop to a lower speed. At first I thought I was imagining it, but when I unplug it and plug it back in again it goes back to a normal speed.My second issue is the noise. Most of the time it is virtually silent, but every now and then it makes an audible rattling noise that can only be fixed by unplugging and plugging it in again.The best thing about this product is the magnet. I would stay clear.

Nice and small, easy to take apart, noisy fan when in use, pity can't have anything to control flow as bit powerful for my 54litre tank.

Thanks for all the answers, this is in fact ideal for a 55 litre freshwater tank. Not too powerful, but gives a great flow throughout the tank saving "dead" water areas where detritus and waste food can gather. Makes all of this move and go through the filters, and keeps the tank clear and water safe for all the inhabitants. Magnets are powerful, easy to fit and manoeuvre, comes with a UK 3 pin plug. Would recommend
