Correct value for many simple four Ohm tweeter cross-overs
The 10uF 63V Bipolar electrolytic is an ideal value for the simplest single-pole bass-cut crossover to a nominal 4 Ohm tweeter in a basic two driver ‘hi-fi’ system at about 4KHz.The speakers I fitted these to were supplied with a 3.3uF capacitor to the tweeter. This gave a crossover calculated at 12KHz and measured at about 10KHz, leaving a noticeable dip in the response between 2KHz and 9KHz. The speakers now have a smoother more natural sound without requiring any treble control.I would not recommend anyone attempting this type of modification without first making sure of the capabilities of the drivers and cabinet by using proper test equipment.

Good value and ideal for all low voltage applications.
Exactly as described. Work perfectly and seem reliable. Can't think why anyone would use the old style polarised unit when these are a good price, compact and ideal for the job.
