Q: Will this work for small grain type food? Goat grain specifically.

I don’t see why not if it’s like small pellets. I buy different brands of cat food some are different sizes. The feeder works good.

Q: What are the dimensions of the bowl? Can three cats eat from the bowl at the same time?

I have a 4 yr old cat and I replace the tray for a smaller bowl, since I feed her just once a day. I only got this feeder just recently. Still learning the feeder amount. I would say no, if the cats are large. They do have a version that has a funnel that would feed into 2 bowls.

Q: What portion amount does each setting amount to? I lost the package insert unfortunately

I set mine 4 which is approximately 1/2 cup
