VOTATU PMD504-SG Micro 3 MOA Green Dot Sight Shake Awake Reflex Sight Compatible with RMR Footprint and Picatinny Rail

This is my second optic from this company. I bought my first one for my shotgun and was impressed with the quality, so I decided to buy this model for my pistol. I have not shot my guns with these optics so I can't give an opinion on durability yet. I'm rating these for construction, features, and price. This is my first green dot and I wanted to try it out. This really boils down to preference. I think it stands out more. The brightness setting is great, but you will get a little bit of a halo effect on the brightest setting. The construction feels solid and well-made. The adjusting screws have noticeable clicks which is good to help prevent the dialing in from changing. The buttons to adjust brightness feel firm. I'm not sure if that's by design, but regardless, it's firm. The price is great! I can't complain at all. Only time will tell if Votatu is durable and reliable. Now for my complaint. Although this is my second unit from this company, the one I received was opened (seal broken), but everything seemed intact. I only knew someone had it before me because there was a fingerprint on the optic itself. I wasn't happy about the situation, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of a return. I tested everything and it was good to go. Note: For those that wear eye contacts, the dot may appear distorted. I thought mine was defective since I wear contacts and the dot was distorted. I read articles to try the camera test and see if the dot changed and it did. The dot was perfect, so my contacts did not adjust to stigmatism. To verify that, I tried my glasses and it corrected the problem, so this means my contacts did not adjust to stigmatism. UPDATE: After viewing some other optics, I have determined this was defective. I did work with their customer support outside of Amazon and explained the issue. They were super awesome and sent me out a replacement which fixed the issue. Go Votatu!!! After having some time with optic, this optic is very solid. You get a lot of bang for your buck. If you need an optic that isn't going to break the bank, this is a decent-performing optic. I've used it at the gun range and I was shooting better than using iron sights.

Solid and very capable unit. Holds zero after 800+ rounds with the 9 milli. Customer service is super great. I noticed my unit has a busted button after my last session at the range when I couldn't turn the unit off. Contacted direct customer service about button issue and not able to turn unit off. Votatu sent me a new unit free of charge without sending in the old broken unit. I hope new unit holds up. Hands down customer service is top notch with communication to resolve issues. 👍🏾👍🏾

So i did my homework when looking for a red dot for my glock that didnt cost a fortune, and was reliable and tough. Votatu definitely met the mark and exceeded all expectations. I was watching some 'torture test' that this red dot had been put through and after dropping, throwing, banging the hood of the glass, obsessive racking on the red dot, the red dot still held strong even with the housing being dented and the glass shattered!!! (One could still see the dot projected onto the glass). The Votatu has an RMR footprint and comes with 3 sets of screws (with 3 different lengths to accommodate depth on the slide). It also has an extertnal battery access tray that you can just pull out to change the battery. The battery size isnt the typical battery size for most red dots, so make sure you get the right size. Plus the red dot comes with 2 batteries in the packaging. If you're looking for a good red dot with an RMR footprint AND has a shake awake feature (thats right, shake awake feature baby!) then i would definitely consider picking up one of these RDS's!!!

I was just like you: I wanted a good quality, solidly-built green dot scope for one of my carbines, and I was reluctant to purchase a brand I wasn't already familiar with. And I was afraid of purchasing one that didn't cost me several hundred dollars. I just assumed that that was the price you needed to pay to get a good scope. I struggle with "cross-dominance" (I'm right-eye dominant, but left-hand dominant), and so I need a good optic to give me better target acquisition than iron sights do when shooting further than 25 yards. I know all about the famous names like Holosun, Vortex Optics, Trijicon, Burris, etc. I even own a few of those. And don't get me wrong - those are amazing, high-quality scopes, and worth every penny you spend on them. But this time, I was on a budget, and didn't want to spend two or three hundred dollars (or more) on one of those. I was sure that there had to be a well-made, good quality, reliable green dot scope out there that wouldn't break the bank. I took a chance on this VOTATU green dot, and couldn't be happier. What a great little scope it has proven to be. I've brought it to the range three times now, in varying lighting, weather, and temperature conditions, and it performs just as well as one of the big brand names above. It's mounted on a Henry Homesteader carbine with a 16.5 inch barrel, and zeroed for 50 yards, and it's giving me 1-inch and 1.5 inch groups. This little green dot is a workhorse. And it does exactly what you need a scope to do: Provide you a better sight picture of your target. Don't sleep on this green dot just because of the economical price tag. And don't be afraid that it's not a brand name you haven't seen before. Give this green-dot a chance to prove itself to you, just like it did to me. Take the money you save and spend it on ammo instead. Your gun and your wallet will both thank you for it.

I have had the opportunity to use a few different products from this company, all of which have been excellent, and I have also experienced the rapid response they provide when one of their products has a problem. I already have the PDM504, so this size and style are not new, but I do like the optics better. It's not just the green vs. red dot; it's the view through the glass that is easier on my eyes. Like the PDM504, this is a great-looking and well designed site. I like this low profile, and the one chance I've had to use it at the range, it held zero for 350 rounds once tuned in. The instruction sheet says this was zeroed at the factory and might require small adjustments. Unlike the red dot version (the reason I ended up dealing with the seller was the first site would not allow for adjustment), this one arrived very, very close to being on target. I again used a bore site laser, and making the needed adjustment to the site was simple enough. The kit includes two wrenches; one is a double-ended flat screwdriver style wrench, and the other is a TORX version for tightening up the site to a mount. ► The controls are easy to access. ► I find the silicone cover is a good fit that stays on till it needs to be removed. ► Included in the kit are extra screws, always nice to have these. ‼️ The only thing that needs to be mentioned is that when mounting on a handgun, you will need to buy the correct mounting option separately. There are ten brightness settings, eight for daytime and two for nighttime use. The nice thing is that once powered up by pressing the up button (side mounted and used for adjusting brightness) is that it will go into power saver mode after just over 4 minutes. The kit includes a spare, but it's nice to know that if I forget, the site will auto-power down and then power up again when it detects a certain level of motion. ► The battery used here is a CR1632, which is a lot smaller than the standard button cells but readily available here on Amazon. Physically, like the red dot version, it's fine for a rifle but a little on the large side for a handgun such as a Glock. It can be mounted but with the right option, which is not included. That said, it does clamp onto a Picatinny rail. Considering the quality of the device, pricing, the nice optics, and knowing I will get great service from the seller if I need it allows me to, without hesitation, give this a 5-star rating.

Works okay. Hard to find the green dot. Brightness levels dont go very high. Easy to adjust. Shake awake works most of the time.
