Non-stop dogwear Canix belt, unisex Parent

It’s rare I wrote reviews, however I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and love for this product I felt I must! We have a 1 year old female Vizsla- she has been trained for hunting- she is fast, strong and insanely energetic. To our chagrin she is also a puller (I know I know)… but this product is a game changer on our walks/runs! I am about 5’10 and 130 pounds she used to drag me down the street- this harness and dog vest redistribute the weight so you never feel pulled or off balance- it has even taught her to run in a straight line (like a training harness does). We are so so happy with this set!

I have a lot of pain in my arms from an injury that has prevented me from walking my dog the last few months so I have had to make other people walk her for me. She pulls a LOT. This CaniX belt takes all the strain off my arms and allows me to actually walk her again :'). I love that no matter which direction she pulls in, the ergonomic design makes it so I am not yanked with her. My only complaint is that I wish the bottom strap was more adjustable so that it would sit closer to my body and not feel as if it is slipping down if there is any slack in the leash. However, I am so, so incredibly happy with this purchase and recommend it to absolutely everyone.

It’s ok. Just way too expensive. I can clip the leash to my belt or backpack and get the same basic distribution of force.

I finally found what I needed for running with my buddy. He pulls crazy hard which is good for the pace but I had to compromise a lot. There were times where I needed to take time off to heal my lower back. Now with this harness, I can keep my core tight and focus on running. I just finished 10k, no back pain 😍

I was looking for something minimal I could use for my dog & carrying my phone. Nope. Pocket won’t fit my wallet. FAR TOO SMALL.I like the quality but with such a small pocket it’s useless for my needs.If you don’t need the pocket, this is nice. If you do…nope.

Overall, I love this running belt. I went from running with a regular belt that was around my mid to lower back. My GSP loves to run faster than me and the pull was getting annoying on my back. This gives me so much more control of him while not feeling annoyed that he's pulling on the leash to go faster. I think we both enjoy our runs a lot more. The one downside: the back pocket is useless except for a few poop bags. I wish it was a little bigger and made much sturdier. After a few months, the back pocket has ripped. It still holds poop bags, but I have to carry my phone, car key, and pepper spray separately. There is room on the belt, I just wish the pocket took some of that space so you didn't need to carry things in a separate place. The pocket does not decrease the value of the product, but for the price you're paying, it would be a nice improvement to have.

I’ve run with this running harness on with my 45 pound dog and it is great. It’s sturdy and doesn’t hurt me while I’m running.

I tried a couple cheaper options, which were ok. After getting a couple other things from Non-Stop Dog Wear and being so impressed with the quality, I decided to get this belt.Pros: It’s fantastic. Super lightweight, very comfortable, excellent craftsmanship. I just ran a half marathon in it and had zero problems with it. For size reference, the back pocket is just big enough to fit an iPhone 13 Pro without a case. Normally things in pockets annoy me to no end, but I barely notice things in this belt’s pocket.Cons: It does take a bit to time to adjust just right at the beginning. But once you get it how you want, you’ll rarely mess with adjustments outside of little tweaks here and there to account for different clothing thickness.Pro tips: I prefer to wear tight leggings or shorts with the belt. Loose ones can bunch up a bit, but it’s not a dealbreaker by any means. I just prefer not having this. And be sure you understand how the belt should fit. The bottom part should be MUCH lower than you traditionally wear belts. I think the Non-Stop Dog Wear website has more info on proper fit.For context, I’m a 34 year old woman, 5’5”, 105-110lbs. The small fit me once I adjusted it to be significantly tighter. My dog is a 2 year old, 35 lbs Border Collie.
