The laces that come with my husband’s tennis shoes are always too long for him and won’t stay tied. We thought we would try these and so far, they have worked perfectly for him. Much better length, and he says they stay tied.

Thick, solid shoelaces. They have a springy quality I think helps the shoelaces deal with the constant pulling they have to endure.
