BBC'S Top Gear : Season 21 (Region 2 PAL Import)

If you exclude the Burma special which is better in its single DVD release as an extended director's cut, the series 21 is only 5 episodes long what may sound disappointing.But if you consider series 21 as a small part of the last year of Clarkson Hammond and May presenting Top Gear and put the Burma special + s21 + the Patagonia special + s22 altogether that makes definitely the best and most consistant year of Top Gear produced.Yet it turns out that the fewer episodes there are the better they are. The series 21 opens on the "80's hatchback challenge" lasting a huge part of episode 1 beginning on plain races and bickenings and goes on facing each car with the TGPD which won in hilarious blasts....And that simply tunes the series.Episode 2 is mainly about a race between Hammond in the genius Alfa 4c and Clarkson on a Jamed Bond like amphibious quad bike around lake Como in Northern Italy.... Epic !Clarkson heads also to Belgium to make a first encounter with the staggering McLaren P1 While May witnesses the British army coming back to its homeland.Then goes the memorable road trip through Ukraine on episode 3 in which Hammond earned a radioactive anus and Clarkson died (... Once more).Episode 4 sets what could be one of the most exclusive two cars' garage : the G63 amg 6x6 and the Alfa Disco Volante.In episode 5 Hammond tries to counter Clarkson opinion in the fight between the P1 and the 918 Porsche on a track test. While May and Clarkson promote the use of bike instead of cars in city centres.... in their own way.I've seen series 21 broadcasted in France with the right length, that Dutch DVD edition is respectful for the original for its length and its soundtrack.You can easily pair it with series 22 from the same Dutch edition if you are purchasing them.1. all episodes on this DVD set are badly cut down to 51 mins each avoid buying this DVD very disappointed about this all episodes should run to 1 hour 2 - 3 mins that's the correct run times for each episode uncut do not buy this release

In some ways it's very sad to watch this knowing it's nearing the end of the Real Top Gear, however, the chemistry is so good, extremely funny. Highly recommended.

Bloody funny especially the last ever (unfinished) episode with James May slipping in thick mud & appearing caked in mud.
