Tomy Y7574 The First Years Digital Baby Monitor - White - TF525

We're happy with this baby monitor. I like the room temperature sensor, it's useful to see that baby isn't getting cold if you leave him/her alone while you're in another part of the house. I also like the rechargeable batteries that come pre-inserted into the remote monitor so you can walk around, but usually we have it on charge / mains powered, then just disconnect it and take it with if we need to go to another room.I haven't made use of the night light or the music yet, it's surplus to requirement but who knows if it will be useful later as baby gets older. Each baby is different so I'm sure other people have found it helps.Sound quality is pretty good. If baby isn't making a sound then the remote monitor is muting the hiss and crackles you used to get in the old monitors, so we aren't getting troubled by unnecessary white noise. Then if baby makes a sound we get to hear it, even if its a quiet moan or sigh. The monitor needs to be near baby but obviously not inside the crib/cot.I can't think of any negatives and can easily recommend it.

Works OK to monitor my mum who is bedridden downstairs at night. The sound is muted well when there isn't any noise and when she does speak I can hear her - though it does lose part of the first word usually. The light associated with the sound is a mixed blessing - it would be nice to be able to disable it when I'm trying to get some sleep but it does help to alert you to sounds. You can turn the monitor off as well of course. I haven' tried using it wireless, I leave it plugged in most of the time.The music is horrible and I haven't used it beyond the first attempt.

This is a good monitor, especially on the range front, we can get a long way from the house without running out of range when gardening etc. We dont use many of the other features on the device, however the lullaby's have worked on occasion and got the little one to sleep.We did have a small issue with the handheld device, however, and this is where I have to say these sellers are first class. They bent over backwards to help replace first the battery, and then the handset. Everything is now fixed, and working well again. Thank you.

Great product , great price . The only negative it that's the display light is quite bright and flashes with sound .

Fantastic range on this monitor. Doesn't pick up every little noise but good for when the kids start crying. which is enough for me! We have thick cob walls and it goes anywhere in the house and even outside in the garden which our previous Foscam wouldn't dream of!

Love it. I wouldn't get any other brand. Sound is clear and picks up snallest movement.

Absolutely awful. Do NOT buy this product!!! The handset takes 8hrs to charge and doesn't even last 4 hrs!!! Complete waste of money at a time when I have none!!! I can't afford to get a new monitor so I have no idea what I'm gonna do once the little one goes in to her own room!!!

The terminal has died unexpectedly about 1 year 6m after purchase. I have requested a replacement, but the seller refused, saying it has only 1 year warranty. Poor quality item and bad support.
