Agralan Pheromone Codling Moth Trap

I've used these for a few years now, as they do catch the moths intended, & prevent the fruit being damaged by the grubs. It's fairly easy to assemble, following the instructions. You just have to fold it in sequence shown. You insert the sticky pad, after making the "tent like" part, and then add the pheromone ( looks like a large plastic bead) ,which attracts the male moths I think to their fate. It's a light weight construction, so I add some twine around mine when in the tree as they do get moved about in the wind. It has a wire hanging handle. Effective product in my experience.

It does the job. I must have caught nearly 100 of the moth over the summer months (from May through August). You need to replace the sticky trap each month so you will need to purchase these refills after you have used the first two free ones with the trap.

I bought this for a Christmas gift. It is also not the season to use it, so can't comment of its efficacy. I have heard great things from other allotment owners, with apple trees, though. Reading the instructions, it looks simple enough and should definitely fit my two espalier trees. The current price is fair value for money, in my opinion. I have also bought the refill of the same variety for use over following years.

The previous ones I've had came with a wire hanger which is easy to use and durable. The string I got this time is damaging the trap hole every time I move it.

I was really sceptical when my partner asked me to order this but it was so cheap I gave it a try and it works we have lived here for 7 summers and using this this year means we have apples with no worms in!! we can eat them got one for our neighbour too and his apple tree is the same as ours!

DO NOT PURCHASE AGRALAN CODLING MOTH TRAPS, THEY DO NOT WORK - Faulty Pheromones! Followed instructions & set up late May, new lure fitted after 5 weeks as instructions advise. Caught just 1 moth in total in an orchard of apple trees, all are covered in codling scabs. Save your money this trap simply doesn't work! Contacted Agralan with batch number, Agralan advised me that the pheromone lures are prone to fail & offered to send new lures. I chased the following day & they reneged on their offer due to the fact I had purchased from another Agralan distributor on Amazon! Agralan manufacture the product! Outside of Amazon returns policy Note! you don't know if the trap actually works until you have used it for several weeks. Agralan customer service non existent.

Had massive problems with the codling moth over the last two years.Used these traps in the past caught a lot of moths.Put two traps out and within a couple of days they caught moths.Can someone please advise decent spray to work alongside the traps.
