Protecting Mindy is a fabulous romantic suspense by Desiree Holt. Ms. Holt consistently turns out amazing stories and this one doesn't disappoint. Mindy is living at Haven Farms, an abused women facility. Her ex is in prison and she's starting to feel safe, partly thanks to Deputy Corbin Fearman. Mindy and Corbin's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I loved reading this book and look forward to my next book by Desiree Holt. Protecting Mindy is book 7 of the Special Forces: Operation Alpha; The Protectors Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

A story filled with some drama, some angst and a HEA for Mindy and Corbin. The story was wonderful and I was sucked into it from the first page. Mindy has been healing from an abusive relationship when Corbin takes a shine to her. He's willing to go slow and earn her trust but when her ex comes after her again, it's going to take a lot to protect her. I will always cherish my books by Desiree Holt and this one is special.

Absolutely wonderful love story between Corbin and Mindy. He’s so taken by her and will do nothing not to protect her. When her ex decides he still loves her and wants her back he will revert to kidnapping. But Corbin wasn’t letting Anson have her back. When it’s all said and done can Mindy hold on for Corbin while in danger?

I had a difficult time reading this book knowing it was one of Desiree’s last books before she died. As always, she did not disappoint. Hot romance with just the right amount intensity. Definitely recommend.

Protecting Mindy is a must read. The growing relationship between Mindy and Corbin was sLow and steady Mindy was escaping an abusive relationship and starting over at Haven and Corbin is a deputy falling for her throw in the batshit crazy ex kidnapping and I was on edge

Excellent story!! What a powerful story of overcoming abuse. I pray for all women whoever being in an abuse relationship find their way out and become just as strong as the characters in the story. Great writing!!, .

There’s nothing more terrifying than an egotistical abuser, they are so insidiously clever in how they set up their victims and it’s so hard for the victims to get away. This book showed that from both sides the abuser and his victim. Very well written and very intense.
