Q: Are these quiet as far as background hum? When sting close and at low volume or quiet parts is there audible 60hz noise?

I have not heard any hum or noise of any kind. mine are run thru a Yamaha AS-801 and Elac UB 52's. Nice thump at any level.

Q: How to connect it to YU2 as speaker has one Sub Out and Sub takes two channel input?

Q: Does this subwoofer makes you feel sub-bass (60 Hz and below)?

It's a very clear very tight very fast base it does extremely well with 80s style music I have the satellite speakers and the bass speaker but if you're looking for modern day thumpity thump down the road in the car Style music where you hear shaking the walls yes and no. it does not do well with A continuous Non-Stop background vibration. it's more geared towards quick hard thumps but if it's a long base Non-Stop it doesn't do that it kind of softens with long bases but if it's a for instance Thunder or storm it's very aggressive and will produce hard thumping Bass well. There are videos on YouTube that can describe this a lot more just type in the model number and there's a few videos that the people who make the speakers have made which is what I looked at and decided to buy it I'm happy with mine

Q: Seller: any information about electronics and finish chages kanto made between the old sub8 and the sub8vm?

I've had both in white and the difference is that the original sub was a gloss white finish and the new sub is a matte white laminate. I can't speak to the other colors.
