These are excellent pieces of kit , especially in trace mode, if you want to protect something these are excellent value for money, good quality footage too.

I was unsure at first, on purchasing it, to be honest, but I decided I'd go for it, and so i did and am extremely happy i had... for various reasons, i have a fair bit from Tapo. i have their smart buttons, smart plugs, and bulbs. You say it, I've got it. But out from all that, this camera is my favourite for sure and getting it when on its lowest in discounts made it even better when it arrived as that was pretty quick too the delivery but when I received it I couldn't wait too unbox it. So my first thought it's a bit bulkier than I initially thought but let's work with it, its very easy as all there devices are, too set up through using the tapo app so before purchase or when you have either is ok make your tapo account and be ready download from Google play or iphone. Features on this 2k crystal clear camera have better eyes than me. It's definitely smart, though, that's for sure. One thing a personal fav is with the 2 little white colour bulbs and it's settings the light is bright enough too actually see where your going you can choose to have colour throughout the whole night or smart mode where then only an avent is detected it will turn the light on and stay on for your desired chosen time and still remember the amout of movement you can do with where you want too see a whole 360 all round pretty amazing. Then you have the built in alarm and call features making it easier too speak with whom at the front door if away never miss a delivery again i say ha, and with all this above you have the choice too cloud save with tapo (they offer 1 month free for each camera purchased on cloud back up for your recordings, Photos etc after this you can pay a small fee or use a memory card to save on without a fee, this camera really is a win win all round reasonable price that's been well made doesn't look or feel of bad quality but good. don't hesitate on my behalf you'll see when you get it that doing that was the right choice have fun you'll love it like my nose dose can't keep away!

I didn’t expect a great deal from a £47 security camera, however I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The camera itself is of good quality and very easy to set up, quick look at the instructions, download the Tapo app and you’re up and running. The only thing I will mention is that no where in the instructions do they give you a recommended height at which to mount the camera for optimal use. After a quick look on Google I found the information I needed, most recommending to mount anywhere between 8ft - 11ft. I mounted at about the max 11ft. This was ideal as I was able to drill through the house wall into a bedroom to plug in the power supply. The camera has bracket to fix to a flat wall, however I wanted mine mounted on the corner of my property so I can look at the front driveway area and be able to pan round to look down the side of the house. To do this I had to purchase a corner bracket which I found on eBay. The camera quality is very good, easily matching that of my ring doorbell, and the pan and tilt facility is excellent, easily controlled through the app on my phone. The camera uses AI for motion tracking, motion detection and person detection, this is great, however you need to have play around with sensitivity settings once you have it install in your desired position to get it to work at its best. I found with the motion detection set high the camera went crazy trying to chase rain drops, so I have motion at low sensitivity and person detection at full. You can subscribe to the Tapo cloud to store and playback and recordings, however there’s no need to do so as the camera has a slot for a micro sd card. I bought a 512gb Sandisk sd card, which will on average record a months worth of recordings based on average detections. The good thing is, when the sd card is at max capacity the camera simply starts to delete the oldest recordings, so you should always have around a constant months worth of recordings. Overall this is a great camera for the money, however by the time I’ve added the angled mounting bracket and sd card it stands me at £100 but in my opinion this is cheap due to the fact you don’t pay any monthly subscription like you do for other cameras.

Pretty good cameras and quality isn't too bad , do get a problem with connection when it rains and looses signal, would I recommend yes. As it's updated and easy to use good to record and you can pan and tilt with security light and warning siren 🙂

First I have to say this is the 4th TAPO camera I bought, and for a reason. I also have TC70 and C310P2 x 2 outdoor cameras. On a budget, you get very very good software, solid quality and amazing functionality. GOOD STUFF: 1. Super easy and straight forward setup. Never had an issue with this with any of the cameras from Tapo - works like clockwork. 2. Great Picture quality both day & night time. For day time you'd probably expect nowadays, but night time is really amazing. Colour night vision with 360 degree horizontal and 130 degree vertical cover. 3. Amazing and precise movement & person detection, as well as activity zones and line crossing detection. Also, there is a motion tracing option so if needed - the tracking object won't be lost out of the view. 4. Great & quick notifications including reach notifications, so you can receive not just a message but also a snapshot of person/object or action captured. 5. Great functionality and customisation in general, including: Privacy Zones & Privacy Mode, scheduling, smart actions like on/off depending if you're home, patrol mode, etc. 6. Of course it's waterproof, with IP65 rating - just be sure to install it correctly, not upside down! 7. Great customisable alarm functionality where you can adjust both sounds & light alarm. Yes, it won't wake the whole street up, but it is loud enough for a device of this size. You can even record your own voice with spicy insults to make sure no thief remains indifferent. So even if they steal - their ego will be forever damaged. 8. In terms of storage - if you need to store the recordings you can use an SD card and store for free or you have an option to subscribe and store in the cloud. It's not super expensive in this regard comparing with some other mainstream brands. 9. Great software in general that lets you build or / and unify different Tapo devices for a smart home setup. CONS / TO NOTE: - I've got good connectivity, but want to note I have a strong router. Generally any camera or wireless device will depend a lot on the router and positioning, especially considering that it hangs outside. You can test yours before hanging, especially if your setup or plan allows options. Overall, that's a quality product. Recommend & picky engineer approved. We have these on barns on our small holding, we can keep an eye on animals as well as detecting movement from people. They work very well I bought separate memory cards rather than buying the subscription from TAPO, the memory cards can keep a couple of weeks of recordings which is enough for us. They track movement and turn the camera to follow the subject once you ave turned this on in the settings. Simple to set up, good imaging quality, works well with our extended mesh wifi network meaning we can check on livestock that is a good distance from our property
