Great piece of kit right out of the box. Plugged, used and a ton of folders copied in the blink of an eye.Don’t waste time on money on cheaper stuff, yes it’s not the cheapest, but it sure is the best.Small, swift and smooth, also doesn’t heat up like a furnace on use.

This drive as of writing was probably the cheapest 1TB External SSD with 1000MB/s advertised speed from a known brand. Given that a few years ago I paid not much less for the same capacity spinning HDD, I'd say it is a reasonable price.I have tested the speed and it is precisely as advertised: CrystalDiskMark reported 1000MB/s Read and 973MB/s write, broadly within the advertised speed. Though half my internal SSD speed of 2250MB/s read, it was 9x faster writing, as my internal SSD writes at about 110MB/s.This was with a direct USB C to C connection using the supplied cable.Note, if you do not have a USB-C port... buy a new adapter. The one included is pathetic, and speeds dropped to a sluggish 42MB/s - this is worse than half than a traditional external HDD, my Toshiba achieved 108MB/s via USB 3 connection..So in terms of the drives performance I cannot really fault it for my use case, mainly storing games and backups - upgrading from the HDD.Design: About the same length but half the width of my HDD, it is very portable. The black aluminium is a decent finish and does feel nicer than plastic enclosed drives, and should be durable. The edge of the drive has the size printed on it in a bit of a cheap-looking front, and the back has hideous regulatory symbols on it. The top is simply the integral logo.Packaging: Quite environmentally friendly - no plastic, just cardboard. Can't really be used to store the drive though, so straight into recycling it is.#Other features: None. Being a cheaper drive, there is so special software to go with it, hardware encryption or the like. I am not that bothered about this, it is plain and simple and does the job. An activity LED is something I miss compared to my HDD.Heat: It does get slightly warm to the touch after sustained write loads in particular.Suitability for gaming: Excellent, so far I have only quickly tried it with Honkai Star Rail and compared to the HDD it was far superior.

I have been using this portable SSD for over a year now, and I am very impressed with it. I only use it every so often, but it has always worked perfectly when I have needed it. The speed is good, and it is very portable and durable.I have used it to store and transfer large files, including videos and backups of my laptop, and it has performed flawlessly. This is a must have for uni students whether it is just storing essays and notes or digital creative files and portfolios. Im a recent motion grapics gradate and in my 1st & 2nd year i was using a disk external hard drive. My old hardrive fell a small distance from a cushion to the floor and all my work was lost 1 week before my hand in date. Mental breakdown ensued but I was able to make the dead line. I brought this ssd card shortly after and it's great! Has a LOT of storage was able to take all of my project work for the rest of year 2 and 3 which was a lot of files in photoshop, after effects, cinema 4d etc has done a fantastic job. Between this hardrive and google drive I had no worries about repeating that past mistake and im only just needing to get another one more for the sake of seperating uni and post graduate work than storge. 10/10 recommend

Purchased the Integral 240gig 400mbps read 370mbps write SSD to replace a usb 3.0 flashdrive (originally 60mbps read an 33-39 write,then after 4 years became 33mbps read write 17mbps) using in a usb 3.0 blue port.Integral ssd is credit card size an thin, red led on connected - flashing is data transfer, cable SSD end is a Micro-B type usb, Pc end normal A type, supplied cable is very short.using crystal disk mark 8 shows Read 460MB/s and Write 437MB/s (connection usb 3.0 blue port 3.1gen)from pc ssd to integral ssd11 gig small 5-10mbps files > 1min 15 secfrom integral ssd to pc ssd11 gig small 5-10mbps files > 1min 30 secfrom pc ssd to integral ssd11gig (large virtual machine files) > 60 secsi did a 32gig transfer of small files (cant remember which way) but it took 5-6 minsthe speed is decent, sometimes constant other times variable, no noise, no moving parts, overall decent drive for what i need it for.
