Assembly was a little bit awkward, but once you get it together it's fairly sturdy and holds well through high heat. Parts are fairly thin, so bending could be problematic if you aren't careful. Overall, very nice look and does what it's supposed to do. Don't leave it out in the weather to prevent wear and rust.

We take it camping in cold weather and we love it. One of our camping group members bought a solo fire pit and while it works great to burn wood to ash, and its grill is more secure, it doesn't put out a lot of radiant heat. You basically have to stand directly over the solo fire pit to get warm but good luck warming your feet. This firepit is much better for staying warm, all the wood we have used in it burns to ash and it takes up less room than the solo during storage. It does take longer to set up and is not made of stainless steel so it wont last as long but for the warmth and price, we really can't complain. My ONLY gripe is that unless the pit in on perfectly flat ground, the grill cover isn't safe to use. When the fire pit is used in camping environments the ground is often not flat and this causes the shape to deform slightly. Enough that 1 or 2 of the 4 tabs that hold the grill grate up, will not make contact with the grate and it may tilt and dump your food on the ground or into the fire. We do most of our cooking with a gas grill though so its not a huge problem for us but it is annoying. I have not landed on a method I'm happy with for fixing this flaw. We used bailing wire once but then had to untie it to add more wood. Making holes and installing bolts longer than the tabs would work but then might scratch it up and make it more cumbersome to store. I'd be happier if the grate was larger than the pit and could just sit on top.For the price and what we get out of it, we are very happy. With a better design for the grill grate, this would be a no-brainer but as it is, it may not be for everyone.

I had planned to cook on this as well as have a campfire. However, it is way too large and deep to utilize for cooking. There is no way to raise the coal or lower the cooking grill. I wish it was adjustable to use as a small cooking fire. Also, there was no screw provided to attach the ring to the cover, so that's a bust.On the plus side, it is really easy to assemble provided you have all the screws and nuts.

Very handy to transport and use. Perfect for heating up foil wrapped meals out on the ice.

I like its portability however that’s also why one less star because it does come apart easily….the cooking grate and spark cover are nice extras….definitely worth its price. I wanted something for burning papers in the backyard that I can also use when we take the RV out.

Easy to put together, very sturdy. Enjoying it so far.
