Real protection for your phone.
My wife's been using Otterbox since she had an iPhone 6+ and got another one after she bought a new phone. After I recently bought a new phone for myself, I decided to try the Defender Series. It did not disappoint. I made a list of what I liked about it:- easy to install- buttons are precisely positioned so it is responsive and functional- textured body- robust build, designed to protect your phone- fits exactly over the phone- considering all the above, I'd say it's worth the money I spentI don't mind if my phone looks like an Abrams Tank but knowing my wife's first Otterbox protected her iPhone 6+ for years (phone is still alive and in great condition), I'm assured that my phone will be protected from accidental drops, just the same. Highly recommended.

The best protection an iPhone 16 Pro can get!
I have tested many iPhone cases for Amazon but none equals the Otterbox Defender when it comes to providing ultimate protection.I therefore decided to purchase a new Defender when I bought my iPhone 16 Pro as I have used one for all of my iPhones since the iPhone X was released. This case is even better than the previous Defender I used with my iPhone 14 Pro as it features a nicely textured exterior that is easy to grip. I have tested the case by using on many 20 km hikes and have found it far easier to hold than any of the other cases. It is easy to remove by peeling off the outer layer and unclipping the inner two-part case at the 5 attachment points.I was a little concerned that the new generation features MagSafe in case the magnets interfered with the built-in compass in the iPhone. I use this when hiking to find directions - other cases with built in magnets such as magnetic clips for wallet cases can play havoc with the compass. I contacted the Otterbox company before purchase for reassurance - they responded within 24 hours to say that they had tested the system. I am pleased to say that the iPhone compass worked perfectly when encased in the Otterbox Defender MagSafe. Even better, this case works perfectly with 3rd party MagSafe accessories for charging or attaching a compact wallet. The only criticism that some have made is the cut-out to allow access to the camera button. In practice, this works well and makes it even easier to hold the iPhone. There is a theoretical risk that the iPhone could land directly on the unprotected button but I think this has a low probability. Unlike any other button on iPhone, it is not possible to engineer an external button to press on this touch-sensitive, multi-function strip.Overall, this case is the best iPhone 16 Pro case I have used and can strongly recommend it.

Robust and smart
I work as a gardener and put my phone through all the associated knocks and weather that this entails. This case has stood up to it all and still looks good. It’s now starting to get a little worn after 24 months so have reordered- I like this case

Great case :]
I can't take a picture of this amazing case because it is currently on my phone AND because I don't have the energy capacity as of the now to get my camera out.

Does not have screen protection - don't forget to buy one
I have had several Otterboxes over the years, and they have generally been a good buy. This one is no different. The iPhone 15 Pro is a sleek design, marred only by the camera lump on the back. The case does a good job of enclosing the phone and providing a protective perimeter around the camera and the screen. I don't have a constant worry about banging or scratching the camera lenses any more. The case itself appears to have a good level of bump protection. The phone sits in a hard plastic shell that has a pliable rubber cover that clips into the plastic around the edges. The button action is positive and they stick out a bit more than the bare phone buttons - not a bad thing. There is a separate hard plastic holder that has a belt clip on the back, which can be used to prop up the phone in landscape mode. The holder is a kind of belt clip/stand/protection assembly but unless you are rake-thin and are used to carrying a Leatherman, Utility Pouch or Walkie-Talkie on your belt you will probably leave it at home after the first time you sit down without removing it.I was surprised that there was no clear secondary screen protector included in the package. Perhaps I am old-fashioned, but I think secondary screen protection is essential. No matter how good Gorilla Glass or Apple's "Ceramic Shield" is, it will scratch. If you want the full level of protection then don't forget to buy one.The phone can be mounted into the hard plastic holder screen-first, which provides excellent protection, but see my comment above...One thing to note is that you have to be very precise when you put the protector on - do it once you have put the phone in the case. All in all the case will serve well as intended. The hard plastic holder will end up in my desk drawer along with all the other ones from previous phones.

60 mph protection
I bought a second one of these after the first one did its job, my iPhone 16 pro max took a tumble off the roof of my car at 60 mph and bounced down the road. I found the phone unmarked and working in the verge in the bushes without a mark or a scratch on it. Yes they are relatively expensive but much cheaper than a new phone...... get one!!!!
