We live in a very dry environment where summer temps exceed 100* and there is usually a 15 - 20 kts south breeze every day. Potted plants dry out quickly and need constant watering. Mixed these pellets into the soil before we planted this year and they seem to be helping hold the water. We don't have nearly the volume of water running out the bottom of the pot each time we water. Plants seem to be doing better this spring so far. 5 lb size is more than enough and should last us for several seasons.

These are the same crystals that are sold in plant stores but at a way lower price point. They keep my container annuals from drying out during the hot summer months. I also add them to the base of my perennials in my garden that require moist roots.

I was looking for this in large form. These are mini-verson so they aren't the large water ball crystals. It comes almost powdered. I need up using too many in my sweet potato vine and keep wiping off the surface of the extra that keep busting throw the soilless soil media in the pots. Worms love it.

This product REALLY expands when exposed to water. A little goes a long way, but I feel that the instructions for use do not clearly identify that . The product does seems to provide plants with liquid nourishment.

I did a little experiment... not very scientifically because I didn't attempt to get precise measurements. But I took about a little over a teaspoon of these Water Storing Crystal's and added some water with dye (to enhance the visual). I kept having to add more water, and more water. What started out as a little over a teaspoon filled up a large soup bowl, or around 2 cups.So... this product will be great as an additive in my potted plants and in some flower beds where I have plants that tend to dry out more quickly. This will provide them the moisture they need to thrive. Or just to keep them watered if I happen to be out of town for several days.The product was delivered promptly and was sold at a good price, even a great price considering how much I paid for a tiny packet a few years ago.

Living in an RV comes with challenges, one of those being a black tank, which I refuse to deal with. With this polymer powder and biodegradable toilet bags, I found the perfect solution. I do live alone in my RV, which does make this the perfect fit for me and my needs.I have some homemade baking soda and vinegar powder discs that I made. I just throw one of those in there with the polymer powder and it keeps the waste from emitting an odor into the RV. The biodegradable bags fit perfectly under the seat as well. You can supposedly spread your saturated polymer onto a flat surface in the sun to evaporate the water from your polymer, but I am not sure that would be the best idea. Some people use it in their gardens because our waste makes perfect fertilizer. I don't garden, thank goodness. I have no issues sending my airtight packages to the landfill knowing that the bags are biodegradable.

I ordered to add to all my potted plants which dry out quickly in the Az heat. I found adding the product to already potted plants to be challenging. Difficult to distribute without sticking together. Doesn’t mix well in this case. But the grains do hold moisture. Recommend you remove the plant and mix into potting soil first.
