The OtterBox ‘Defender’ really is perfectly designed and constructed for its purpose - namely, protecting very expensive and fragile mobile ‘phones. Three layers of protection are offered: polycarbonate, silicone and rubber. There are a plethora of YouTube clips demonstrating drops from as little as waist height to one purporting to be 100 feet. In all instances, the ‘Defender’ lives up to its name - it defends ! There are some people (and they are entitled to their views) who will object to the extra weight and bulk that this case adds to the mobile but I’m certainly not one of them ! I like my iPhone - and want it protected .

Have used otterbox defender cases for all my phones over the last 10 years or so, thanks to the combination of the sturdy case and the benefit of being able to clip the phone onto myy belt. Phones are big enough already, without the extra bulk of the case and the grippiness of the silcone outer.Great product, my only issuue is the need to replace the belt holders after a while as they get caught on something whilst I'm squeezing past something and I snap off a lug.This current one doesn't need the corner lugs to hold the phone as much so may not be as much of an issue when the time comes...

I got this case when it was on offer. I would have initially been reluctant to pay full price for it, but having now received it I would have paid the full price for the protection it offers.The phone itself is nearly completely sealed away from the outside world 😨 There is a port cover for the USB-C socket AND a cover for the mute switch!! A surprise addition. The only parts of the phone exposed are the camera lenses and the top and bottom speakers. I have a JTech screen protector fitted to my iPhone 15 and the clip on frame part of the case, if installed correctly (in my case it was the bottom part of the plastic frame put onto the phone first) the plastic edges go right up to the edge of it without lifting the protector at all. So no dusty lines around the edge. The rubber part of the case then fits to the plastic frame and once on is very difficult to get off again.The case itself fits very well. It makes the phone feel bulkier and heavier of course, but gives it an indestructible feel. Being a Defender case it also comes with a holster plate which can be used to protect the screen if it’s clipped to a belt. The case fits into this plate very securely and takes a bit of effort to remove.The blue case that I have contrasts nicely with the blue shade of the camera module on my iPhone.

I have had several Otterboxes over the years, and they have generally been a good buy. This one is no different.The iPhone 15 Pro is a sleek design, marred only by the camera lump on the back. The case does a good job of enclosing the phone and providing a protective perimeter around the camera and the screen. I don't have a constant worry about banging or scratching the camera lenses any more.The case itself appears to have a good level of bump protection. The phone sits in a hard plastic shell that has a pliable rubber cover that clips into the plastic around the edges. The button action is positive and they stick out a bit more than the bare phone buttons - not a bad thing. There is a separate hard plastic holder that has a belt clip on the back, which can be used to prop up the phone in landscape mode. The holder is a kind of belt clip/stand/protection assembly but unless you are rake-thin and are used to carrying a Leatherman, Utility Pouch or Walkie-Talkie on your belt you will probably leave it at home after the first time you sit down without removing it.I was surprised that there was no clear secondary screen protector included in the package. Perhaps I am old-fashioned, but I think secondary screen protection is essential. No matter how good Gorilla Glass or Apple's "Ceramic Shield" is, it will scratch. If you want the full level of protection then don't forget to buy one.The phone can be mounted into the hard plastic holder screen-first, which provides excellent protection, but see my comment above...One thing to note is that you have to be very precise when you put the protector on - do it once you have put the phone in the case.All in all the case will serve well as intended. The hard plastic holder will end up in my desk drawer along with all the other ones from previous phones.

Spent longer deciding on a case that the phone! Very sturdy but not clunky, grips well. Hasn’t dropped it (see doing part of its job already!) so don’t know about that.

Fits perfect on iPhone 15.

Good quality item, very sturdy however if you order the blue case it does discolour with use - would recommend buying the entire black one to avoid the discoloured blue look.
