I recently underwent major surgery and as the wound has gotten smaller I have had to change the size of the dressings.This one so far has been the best of the bunch. The dressing when applied (you peal of the front first, apply it to the area and then peal off the back) is very flexible. It's never come off, even during walks or light exercising in the gym.It's waterproof, I shower with it on to ensure the wound does not become wet or damp. Once showered and dried, it comes off relatively easy and leaves no glue residue so the next dressing can be applied without fuss.Delivery was quick, the only unfortunate thing was the usual Amazon delivery trick of dumping it on the porch and running off and then marking the item has being handed to the resident.

Poor when wet

Had laparoscopic surgery and had these on the wounds. Advised to change every few days but after the first change, I felt fresher changing more often - these were the exact brand the hospital gave me anyway! Easy to apply and waterproof too (shower proof tested only). Recommend rubbing with Vaseline a bit to remove as the stick is strong (as it should be) so that helps with removal and the stickiness on skin. Wounds all healed so can’t recommend these enough and as I said, these are the exact ones the hospital gave me anyway to take home!

These island dressings are great for keeping stitches clean after an op Stick well keeps wounds free from risk of infection. Big help.

These film island dressings have an ‘island’ of wound dressing in the middle of a sticky ‘film’ to attach it to the skin. The important measurement to the customer must surely be the dimensions of the island. Why should the sticky film size be of particular interest? However, these dressings are sized by the film area, so when I ordered a pack of 10 x 12 cm, I received ones with an island area of 5 x 7.5 cm - completely inadequate.This isn’t Amazon’s fault, it’s the manufacturer’s. However, buyers should beware.

I bought these, after trying another brand. These have been excellent, no allergic reaction,and easy to apply.They do not say waterproof, but they managed to stay on during a shower.
