Works as expected, no complaints
Seems like good quality. I got two and both have been working fine for many months. Love that it comes with multiple fuse connectors, I’ll definitely use the leftovers for other projects. They were quick and easy to install.

Problems at first; but Viofo made it right with excellent support!
**This is an update to my review. Viofo sent me a message after this review posted and offered to send me a replacement wire harness. I agreed and had the harness in hand within 2 days. I removed the defective harness and installed the new one and everything worked perfectly. I still use Viofo exclusively because I think their cameras are quite good. This is the first time I had to use Viofo support for a defective item; and Viofo came through. Viofo really does make great cameras that are very reliable and at a good price point. It was nice to see that Viofo does back up their products when you need it.**I bought this as part of a package deal with a camera for a Christmas gift last year. I finally got around to installing the camera this weekend. I had an awful time getting ACC power to work; but after an hour or so messing around; it miraculously started working. I was never able to get battery (parking mode power) to work. So, after spending hours getting this to work; it stopped working after I buttoned everything up.This isn't my first time wiring a car with a Viofo Camera and hardwire kit. I have done three of my own cars and two of my children's cars. This is clearly a defective hardwire kit. I was surprised to get defective hardware from Viofo; but it happened. I'm sort of disgusted because now I have to buy another and wait. Viofo needs to improve their quality control with their supplier.

Improved cable management for your dashcam
Great product and easy to use.My one complaint is that the wire connections are actually a bit fiddly. I replaced the crimp connectors on mine with Wago ones.Cable management is way easier than with the lighter connector that the Viofo dash cam comes with. It's almost all hidden under the fascia and only shows a bit around the front pylon, but only because I'm not comfortable pulling that up.

A little difficult to set up but includes everything you'll need
I got this to be able to use the parking sensor/recording for my Viofo A229 Plus dashcam system. The package includes fuse attachments for every type of fuse used. Compare to what your vehicle has and attach to the power leads. The most difficult part is deciding which fuse to use - you want to stay away from vital systems like abs braking, engine cpu, etc, instead using something like interior lighting or the like. The other thing is that you need a multimeter or some other way to test the fuse socket to check weather the socket is powered with the ignition off or if it's ACC controlled. You also need to determine which side of the socket has power because the adaptors have an orientation and have to be plugged in with the powered side out. So it's a little finicky to get everything right but I'm not particularly handy and I was able to do it. It would have been nice if they'd used an easier connector then the crimp style but it worked. There is a switch included that allows you to select how low to take your battery before the camera system powers down. I set it in the middle and we'll see if the vehicle starts after 48 hrs. You also have to set the system for parking before it will work. Lots of choices there so I'm going to have to see what works for me.All in all this works fine, I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't included with the camera system. It seems like a bit of a bait and switch to advertise parking sensors but "oh yeah, you have to pay an extra $40 dollars for the part that allows you to use that feature".

Hands Off Management!
This hardwire kit was purchased for our Viofo A229 pro 3ch, installed in our new 2024 Mazda CX-90.Utilizing the included fuse taps and harness, I was able to cleanly connect and power our dash cam. Having the automatic function for driving mode and parking mode gives piece of mind. The built-in voltage cutout hardware ensures I never come out to a dead battery with parking mode enabled. I personally, run both a software timer and the hardware protection, to ensure redundant reliability to turn off the camera after an hour or so.Known issues with certain vehicles, not a fault of the hardwire kit, but for instance Mazda vehicles are known to be a bit problematic with compatibility with fuse taps. Many Mazda vehicles use low profile mini fuses that are recessed, so the low profile mini fuses taps, struggle to engage at the depth needed to stay positively retained and engaged. Ideally you should purchase appropriate mini fuses, not low profile for the circuit rating you are tapping, and use the mini taps instead. A bandaid may be to use electric tape to retain the low profile taps until you can find a solution. The kit should be compatible with most setups as it has ample cord length and is small and compact, and easy to conceal.

Works great, wires are directional, use a real crimper.
Needed this bc my 14 Audi q7 has constant on power to the outlets. Easy to route, but the USB c end has something on the wire that won't fit in the headliner, and the hardwire end is quite large, so I routed it backwards starting at the fuse box. Few things to note - farthest end of the adapters is where power comes in. This matters. If it doesn't power on after what appears to be a good install, flip them. Get a good crimper. I have a real crimper and I did squeeze quite hard. You want a good connection and you're already saving a couple bucks doing this at home, so spend a few more for a good crimper. I too watched the chrisfix video on YouTube it was very useful. You'll also need a multimeter. Don't skip this, Amazon has tons of inexpensive ones for the weekend warrior. You may also want some small zip ties and a flush/side cutter. Nothing special, get cheap ones if you won't have them, they're useful to route around curtain airbags, and to tie up the slack in this kit. I'm very pleased, the install looks professional, which is good so that the SO doesn't complain about how it looks.
