Very bendy, easy to use, good quality
Gave these as "back to school" gifts to my sensory-friendly, fidget loving kiddos. They loved them - and so did the adults. Good quality, very bendy, lots of fun.

Fun for kids
I got these for my students in the class I student taught in. They had never seen anything like them before and were amazed! I grew up with these and I was excited to share some nostalgia with them. The only down side is that they are awful to sharpen. But kids love them!

Disappointed
We bought these for my daughter's treasure box at school. They are difficult to bend in a pretzel as shown. My husband did it but it takes quite a bit of effort. They are also very thin and somewhat difficult to write with. I wouldn't purchase again.

Hard to sharpen and bend
I bought a few packs of these for my children's valentine's cards. The are super hard to sharpen because they are so skinny. You have to really maneuver them into a hand sharpener to get them sharp ... only to have the lead break and you have to start all over. BLAH! My hand was killing me... after about each 3 I'd have to take a break. And as for knotting them like in the photo, it's HARD to do! They are flexible but would often come undone by themselves. They just aren't long enough to have long enough tails on each end. So, next year we'll avoid attempts to be creative and stick with something a little less stressful.

They're ok, served their purpose for me
These brought back elementary school memories. They bend, but wont hold shape. Had to tighten silver band that holds eraser , was a bit lose but otherwise ok. Listen, I pulled my ruler out to measure what size to expect before i ordered, but in the picture, it seemed as though looping it you would have plenty of space at the bottom to grip it( to write). You have to try and tightly pull the loop( but careful not to snap them). Colors are exactly as pictured. Are they practical? Nope, but I already knew that going in. I bought these to hand out as prizes, and keep a few for my child with ADHD to fidget with, and they were perfect for that purpose. They do write, but very soft almost a bit faded. I threw 1 in my purse for emergecies and because its bendy was able to manipulate it to fit in a pocket. They're novelty items really, dont come in here expecting to get pencils you can use to write a full essay with because you will be disappointed....with cramped fingers. Sharpen with a small handheld sharpener and you'll be fine. Tip : I held the pencil tight with my shirt or a small piece of cloth and turned the sharpener, rather than the pencil, made it easier. Hope this helps if you're interested but not sure.

Not quite what I expected
I love the idea of a fun bendy pencil. I was excited to find these with so many colors and the bulk amount. However, they're normal pencil length so trying to tie them in a knot like in the picture is near impossible because they're just not long enough and if you can twist it to tie, it doesn't stay, it gets loose and unties itself. Also, the erasers just pop right out or break off at the metal. We didn't try to sharpen one yet, I assume it can be sharpened like any other but I don't know how easy it will be to sharpen the plastic off. I would not purchase again or really reccomend.
