My Go-To Laundry Detergent – Effective, Eco-Friendly & Smells Amazing!
I’ve repurchased these laundry detergent strips from The Lab Co. several times now - they’ve completely replaced my old liquid detergent. Not only do they save so much space in the cupboard, but they also last a surprisingly long time. One box goes a long way! The Cotton & Jasmine scent is my absolute favourite - it's light, fresh, and not overpowering, just a clean, comforting smell. These strips work incredibly well at getting clothes clean in both hand and machine washes, and I love that they’re non-bio, low-tox, and made with natural ingredients, which is really important to me. Knowing I’m using something that’s eco-friendly and kinder to both my skin and the environment gives me extra peace of mind. If you're trying to simplify your laundry routine or make more sustainable choices, I highly recommend giving these a try!

A step in the right direction
Trying to be more environmentally friendly, bought these to try, while they were on offer. Positives: - the scent is pleasant (not overpowering) almost disappears after the washing; - washes well, if enough sheets are added; - laundry comes out soft and clean, without any unpleasant smells; - light and compact, takes little room on the shelf, compared to laundry tabs or powder or liquid; - good recyclable cardboard packaging, no plastic; - cheaper than some other laundry sheets on the market. Negatives: - would be good to retain some of that scent, which isn't there even with the Outdoorable Fabric Conditioner; - I have to use two-three full sheets (my loads are large - can't imagine what half-a-sheet would be good for), they are thinner than say Magic Leaves by Dr Beckmann; - and so it turns out to be more expensive than Magic Leaves (or tabs or liquid); - stains still need a pre-wash treatment, like with all the other kinds of laundry detergents - but that is probably more of a a neutral point, if we don't expect miracles. I think Laundry Sheets are the future. This particular brand is a decent effort, but I am not sure if it's my favourite.

All round great product
By far the best laundry detergent. I tried lots of eco options before I settled with Lab. I wanted to write a review as Ive been using it for the past year on school clothes, work shirts and sports gear. Food stains vanish, sweaty smells vanish, darks are not fading and white towels still look bright. All round a great product.

Works fine if you use 2 sheets as standard, not for tough jobs
One sheet is enough for smallish/cleaning loads, otherwise I have found I need two. I'm not sure if physical debris (like bits of fluff or something) comes off as well as with the laundry capsules I used to use. Physical dirt comes out. Laundry smells fresh and the fresh smell continues, provided you use enough sheets. One time I had a fresh smelling load with loads of scent and I used only one sheet- that load was a smallish load of cleanish things like PJs and pillow cases. Otherwise I've found things smell a bit unfresh either immediately or after hanging out to dry unless using two sheets. I think this is what others have referred to as the fragrance going away. Again, I've found the fragrance sticks to a reasonable extent if using enough sheets ie usually 2. We do a lot of DIY in our household and we have a puppy and we do our cleaning with reusable cloths etc, so we need our laundry detergent to perform well. We rarely have loads like that smallish cleanish one I described earlier, so value for money for me goes down a lot for this product. Other households may find they can do about half of their loads with one sheet. These days, if I have some non-clothing dirty stuff to wash like cleaning cloths or puppy bedding, I just chuck it in the wash as a quarter or half load and use fairy liquid instead of detergent and the 20 minute speed wash. It seemed like a waste of a capsule before, and now it seems like I'm not 100% sure the items will get clean with these laundry sheets. Either way I haven't changed this habit with the switch of laundry detergent to these sheets. If I had really dirty clothes to wash (like if my husband was rolling around in the muck with our puppy) I would probably also do that short fairy liquid cycle on those clothes but use it as a prewash before adding them into a regular load with other clothes and a couple of detergent sheets. (I'm not sure that it is good for skin to wear those clothes washed in washing up liquid, but it is a cheap and effective clean!) I put these laundry sheets in an old biscuit tin. The sheets come as pairs with perforation to rip into individual sheets. I ripped them all up into each sheet when I put them into the tin. Tin keeps them dry and fresh and easy to access, although I needent have ripped them up into individual sheets because now I always use two sheets per wash. Edit: reduced from 4 to 3 stars as I'm now convinced that stuff doesn't come off the items being washed so well as it does with the detergent I used to use. I feel like these laundry sheets do cleanse the clothes but but don't do such a good job of making them seem really scrubbed. Will be fine for many people (using 2 sheets) but I need a heavy duty laundry detergent in my household. I was finding myself overthinking what to put in wash loads together and when. I have gone back to persil laundry detergent pods, which are really heavy duty and include stain remover which is ideal for food spills and my reusable make up remover pads. These sheets (using 2) perform more like cheap laundry detergent liquid, which is fine if that's all you need.

Cleans your washing!
These sheets get your washing clean! That's the whole point! I made sure I didn't overload the washing machine, which I think is important to make sure it was a fair trial of how well the sheets would clean everything. I used only half a sheet for lightly soiled loads, the result was very good, and a whole sheet for more soiled items, again a very good result, nice and clean as well as smelling fresh. I was pleasantly surprised that soiled white pillow cases came up clean and fresh too. I used my own brand of clothes softener in each wash. I'm very pleased with all wash loads carried out. I believe there's no bleach in the product, which is what I want, as I've noticed some fading, particularly with black underpants, when using non-bio powders which contain bleach. I was surprised when I discovered this as I did not expect bleach to be in a so-called 'gentle' washing powder. I will carry on using these sheets for the forseeable future! The only small grumble is that these sheets are quite expensive, that's one reason for not over-using the sheets in each wash and, in my opinion, it's unnecessary and wasteful.

GOOD VALUE for money, WORKS WELL and is ECO FRIENDLY + EASY to use
I've tried a couple of different washing powder sheet products over the last few years and have settled on using The Lab Co (I have signed up for the subscribe and save option and usually have a large box delivered each month for family of 5 which works out perfectly - we average a large load a day.) Firstly, the packaging is cardboard and eco friendly - tick! From a completely superficial level, it looks good too (lovely branding!) Secondly, the sheets work really effectively and are so easy to use (I love to just chuck a whole sheet into the back of the drum and not have to faff with powders and cleaning out the powder drawer etc) I have tried a few of the different Lab Co scents, they are all really lovely and subtle (I don't like strong smelling detergent scents) - cannot fault this brand, definitely worth trying if you're thinking of swapping!

Nearly perfect but not quite
So, I’m one of those people who always uses too much laundry detergent. ‘Concentrated’ is not in my vocabulary. As a consequence I am always buying laundry detergent! So, I saw these, saw they were discounted and thought I’d give them a whirl. The fact they come in individual sheets would discipline me (so I thought). One sheet does work but only for freshening up laundry, not for heavily soiled clothes which require two sheets. Good news is the clothes come out clean, soft, with a subtle scent. They’re easy to store - no more plastic detergent bottles, or capsules which never dissolve, and they take up little room in my already over-burdened sink cupboard. So, they work, but only at temperatures upwards of 40 degrees, in my experience anyway. In terms of value for money they would be a bargain if you only needed one sheet, but we’ve established you need more. A bargain is looking increasingly expensive now. My overindulgence with laundry liquid detergent is not so profligate after all in comparison to these little sheets. So, whilst I am moderately impressed by the innovation of laundry sheets, sadly, it is simply not economical to buy them at full price.
