Logitech Gamer Girl
Okay, I have been a fan of Logitech for many years that I have been gaming. This was my first time getting a mic stand from them. It is made quite well and doesn’t flop around a whole lot. Performance is great and it was an ease of setup. I absolutely adore the smooth and just rich appearance that it gives off when I use it. This is coming from a gamer girl so you should…get it?

The tension in this stand is dangerous
Immediately broken after just moving part of the stand after setting it up on my desk. Lowered the piece to see how it would obscure my monitors so I was moving it up and down a bit, immediately suspicious as the whole time this thing was very difficult to loosen and no matter how loose or tight it always creeped back into a straight 90 degree position. But I thought maybe it will get better over time. So I went to start barely loosening the tension dial on the joint and it immediately swings up extremely fast narrowly missing my face as it straightened itself, the momentum it had swinging up was so fast that it bent backwards in the opposite direction of its recommended degree of motion. This instantly tore and broke the cheap plastic that held the joint together. And the stand is now about 25 degrees in the wrong direction at all times and loosening all the joints and the tension screw and trying to tighten in any other position fails as it always swings back to where it bent itself.Awful.

Solid Boom Arm, but...
This is a strong and sturdy boom arm, but I could not get it to stay in place. Turns out, there is something of a known issue with the internal tension wire. Why it was set up to not lock in place once it's where it needs to be is beyond me, but spending hours frustratedly bending it only discover this was something of a known issue with a less-than-straightforward work-around wasn't what I was looking for in a device advertised as being easy to use.Having used this for almost a year, I can still attest to the strong build quality, but the other major issue I have with this arm is how it swivels on a 360 degree platform and without jury rigging it there is no way to lock it in place. What fun it is, I say sarcastically, to need to constantly readjust the microphone because it has decided it wants to move to the left of the right, knocking into monitors along the way. The arm itself, despite feeling cheap, has held up better than other arms I have owned in the past.

Good product
This is the second one I purchased. The first one broke about 3 months into it so I couldn’t return it back to get a replacement. Never bothered calling the manufacturer on seeing what they had to say.

Trash Product! This is your warning.. DO NOT BUY!!
I don’t think Logitech even tested this product.. it’s a boom nightmare.. the socket where the arm connects to the stand, there is no way to lock it to the clamp, so if you hit it in the wrong way or move the arm up it jumps out of the clap hole. And it not stable and swung almost destroyed my monitor.. The cheap plastic dials to “tighten” the arm bend points don’t work at all. You can have a bend tightened all the way and it just slowly goes back up. There are no instructions either. The arm is bulky and doesn’t fit well on a desk. I love Logitech but this product is complete trash. Save your money, there is nothing premium about this other than the cost. I am warning you do not waste $90+ on this poorly designed boom arm and find a better cheaper alternative that is designed much better than this one.

No Instructions?
The arm itself is... fine? I bought this for my Yeti GX and it's impossible to find anything on google regarding instructions for this thing other than on the logitech website because "Blue Yeti" is always the first result as it's widely more popular. When I opened the box for the arm, I found the arm itself, the c-clamp for mounting it to a table, and... no instruction manual. I played around with the tightening knobs to see if I could figure out how the arm works.Turns out you can not lock the arm into a set shape by itself. It has a set shape when a mic is attached and relies solely on the weight of the attached mic to keep it bent in that set shape. Without any weight on the mic-end, the arm defaults to pointing straight upwards. You can adjust the straightening-tension by loosening a screw at the base of the arm, but the arm does not come with one of those cheap L-shaped screwdrivers that most name-brand "assembly-needed" products come with. Additionally, the little latches that keep the cable hidden inside the arm are made of plastic, not rubber or silicone, so you need a screwdriver or pen to unlatch them as well.Mounting the Yeti GX also threw me for a loop. The listing on the logitech website states that the arm comes with the mounting adapter for 3/8mm and 5/8mm mic mounts while Amazon doesn't. The adapter that comes with the arm is only for 5/8mm screws while the Yeti GX has a 3/8mm hole. After tearing apart the box for the mic looking for the 3/8mm adapter, I found that the adapter for 3/8mm comes with the Yeti GX itself, not the mic.TLDR: Doesn't include instructions or a screwdriver. Basic shape/hinge locking feature would be nice but isn't needed.

WAY TOO MUCH TENSION !!!
This is a quality built microphone stand... Maybe built to sturdy as it has way too much tension for an average microphone. I purchased this stand for my Logitech G-Yeti MIC and it won't stay put after adjustment. Unfortunately a bad design for a nice looking microphone stand.
