Great value light
I own a 4 bulb 24” version of this lamp and I wish I had just payed a bit extra and purchased 3 of these 2 bulb version lamps. The aluminum body is riveted and a slightly heavier gauge than the larger 4 bulb lamp. The 4 bulb is fitted together with tabs and Philips screws, and feels all around a bit flimsy but it still works great which is all I typically care about. I use these for under hood aquarium lighting and with a few slight modifications. The ballast seems to be a good brand and quality the sockets rotate easily and are also high quality. All the wires used are of quality gauge copper. I am all around very impressed for a $40 lamp that comes with bulbs. Will buy again in the future.

Really nice light - my indoor plants love it.
I watched a YouTube video by MIGardner and he said to use at least 5,000 lumen and I combined these with some spider arm uv lights on the sides. Plants seems to reach for this light more than the side uv lights. I bought another one to expand my little the indoor garden.

Not safe
One little design flaw made this entire assembly a fire hazard, you need to insert a piece of foam between the switch and the chassis of the fixture.I have 3 of these and I really like them. I have 2 over 10 gallons, and 1 over a 20 gallon long.

Fits under my Shelf
Other than Ops on my part looking at the Tube and thinking there only one light and it had two lights. My bad It fits great with the EarlyGrow 93807 24" x 15" x 12.75" Domed Propagator with 2 Height Extenders.I will re-review both items later when I finish with my Cloning.I do want to edit. My first 6 clones. 4 Rock wool lived and ready to be planted. One soil died but one lived. But 5 out of 6 is not bad. I am a newbie Cloning so I am still learning and loving it. I working to upgrade to more grow lights and clone domes.

It’s the right type, but major design fail
I’ve had a number of hanging lights and never can I recall one where the hooks on the end of the chain would not crimp to the chain. As a result, they easily slip off the chain, once connected to the light, if not taut all the times, and you get to take the inside top shield out to retrieve them. Then, if you need to adjust the height of the light, say should your plants, I don’t know, GROW, be very certain that the light is off, because the slightest dip of one of these hooks, still alogned to it’s appropriate hole, causes a nice little electrical charge. I guess the true testament here is that the bulbs are solid, because they both still work after this.Sad that there is that much hassle just to get a fluorescent light these days.

Great compact light!!
When I first got the light I was very skeptical considering it's very compact, it's 2 ft long and the bulbs aren't your traditional T5 fluorescent, they're skinnier. I planted 2 potato bulbs and after a week they sprouted from the soil and after a month they are 6 and 7 inches tall. This is a great light, I'm going to get another for additional indoor gardening.Update: I grew ten medium to small potatoes in a pot i shouldn't have been able to, because this light is amazing is why that happened. Still think its a great light but one bulb blew 3/4 of the way into the growth cycle.

Great for my chameleon, uses 22 inch bulbs
I had this before for my chameleon but a lightning strike in our backyard sent a surge of electricity through the house and fried it. I like this better than standard reptile lamps because of the large reflector inside... it gives so much light. So I ordered another one and put a UVB bulb in it for the chameleon and used one of the plant bulbs that came with the lamp (it came with 2). A+ the price is right.... Take note: the size of the bulbs this thing uses are 22 inch -NOT 24 inch bulbs
