The strings do not hide but you can tie the end, they fit well snug but not too snug like skinny jeans nice middle, they are extremely comfortable and have lasted after many washes now, they aren't heavy either feel good to move it and the color has stayed consistent too

I've been buying these sweatpants for years, and the first thing I have to do is have them hemmed as they are only shipped in one inseam length. Then to find that the elastic in the waistband isn't strong enough to hold the pants up--even WITH the drawstring tied snug. I wouldn't buy these again. 2 trips to the seamstress for 4 pair.
