Best upgrade
Absolutely love the design and quality. Easy to plug and play. Good weight and recoding quality as well as sound. Everyone I game with says it’s easier to hear me with no static and very clear. Glad I upgraded to this.

You get high quality for a high price
The alias is a good quality microphone that is easily plug-in. Played the important thing to note is that if you want to use the other features that it offers you’ll have to download steel series Gg which is their third-party application to control any and all steel series devices. If you have a boom arm, I recommend setting the microphone to boom arm mode this way It doesn’t pick up all of the little bumps that you make on your desk when recording. Broadcast setting is good if you want clear podcast quality audio and for the game mix just pick your favorite game and it’ll automatically adjust for you. Also, make sure that when you first click sonar that you choose the little slider at the bottom to either be fully near the controller icon if you wanna hear more of the game or fully toward the little chat bubble, if you wanna hear your friends or other players in game.

Love it!!!
Best microphone I have had. Does not pick up any background sounds. It does take a lot of time to set it up properly. Do not expect to just plug it in and go. Once it configures its probably the best mic I have ever owned.

– Amazing Mic, Let Down by the Software
The Alias Pro microphone itself is fantastic — crystal clear audio, great build quality, and well worth the price if you're serious about sound. It easily competes with other high-end mics and has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. That said, the SteelSeries GG software is a different story. It's bloated and intrusive. The "Sonar" feature keeps hijacking my default audio output every time I restart my PC, even after disabling it. It feels like I'm fighting the software just to use my own setup. To make things worse, the "Moments" feature seems to keep recording clips in the background, even when I’ve turned it off. There's no easy way to fully disable or rebind the default hotkeys, which is just bad design. Compared to Logitech's Blue mic software, which is lightweight and stays out of the way, SteelSeries GG feels overly aggressive. I wish the software was more modular and user-friendly — it drags down what is otherwise an incredible microphone. If you’re okay dealing with some frustrating software or are willing to spend time managing workarounds, this mic is a powerhouse. Just be aware that out of the box, it comes with software that might not respect your settings.

Alias Pro
It’s actually pretty good, much better microphone than I thought it would be. It sounds well enough to be used for podcasting or streaming maybe even voice acting for smaller gigs. It costs a hefty amount but the microphone is good quality so realistically it’s a good purchase if it’s on sale.

Several of these products are bad
With the Pro Kit, the mixer simply didn't work. It's been a minute since I returned it so I forget the exact thing that was happening, but the added complexity of the mixer instead of just using the microphone seemed to be the problem. Now, I just tried the boom arm. It seems like a massive design flaw to have a very tight spring at the middle joint to the point where you cannot tighten to screw at that joint to hold your adjustment in place because the spring won't allow it. It simply undoes your adjustment because the spring is pushing it open all the time. These products are expensive junk. With poor software to boot!
