A good home/office printer
This was bought to replace an old Samsung laser printer. It was easy to set up with a wireless connection and works well with both Windows and Linux, and is a fair bit lighter than what it replaced. I am not a heavy user but for me print quality is good for printing double sided reports in colour on an occasional basis. I am happy with it as a first time Brother user.

Good quality home office printer
Arrived ahead of schedule, no difficulty setting up, also easy to link with app on phone... fast printing... good quality printing...good value printer...got on offer...sits neatly on work bench...noise level low...

Works with Fedora Linux 41 and Linux Mint 22
A really nice printer and easy to set up. I was a little concerned as I only run Linux (Fedora 41 and Mint 22) however, once I had allocated a static ip for the printer from my router (not essential but makes troubleshooting easier) Mint and Fedora both found the printer in the "Network Printer List" and I could print a Test Page. I can also print from Android devices via the app. There is an option to connect via a USB lead (which is not supplied) however I dont know why you would do this as there is also a wired network port on the back. The driver for USB printing is on the Brother website with deb and rpm versions available including a guide. All in all a great Linux printing experience .

Don't update firmware via mobile app
Decent replacement for my decade old Dell, but initial setup was a disaster. Do not, under any circumstances, update the firmware from the mobile app. It didn't work and left me with a mess attempting to recover. Also worthy of note is that the PC firmware update/recovery tool only works via USB and not over the network. Print quality is good, and it's decently quick. For the price, I'm pleased and it isn't HP which is always good.

Great quality and ease of use
Brother make the best printers in my view. We had a brother black and white laser for years. This is an upgrade for the kids homework. Easy to set up and good quality. Toner is a reasonable price too

Good quality machine for Home or small office use
Very impressed. Very well packaged and ease of setup. User should install phone app first before anything else (scan the QR code at front of printer) this guides you through the setup, installing the drivers and wifi setup. Id recommend using the inbuilt webpage to update the firmware though instead of the app, as you'll be prompted to change the password on any attempt to update the firmware... -- remember to store this in a safe place for future reference.

Great printer, terrible customer experience
The printer itself works fine and the print quality is good. Setup was straightforward and once installed, it prints without issues. However, the installation process is extremely frustrating and pushy. After completing the driver installation, the setup forces you into a subscription marketing screen (EcoPro toner subscription) with no clear “Skip” option. The close button was disabled and the only visible option was to view subscription plans. This is not acceptable. Customers should not be pressured into subscription services during installation, especially with no obvious way to decline. It feels manipulative and leaves a very bad impression. I was actually considering trying the subscription in the future. After experiencing this kind of aggressive and forced marketing, I definitely will not. If this is how customers are treated during setup, it completely destroys trust.

Well I didn’t expect it to be this good!
Amazing for Macs and iPhones - no installation of anything required, it literally just works. Probably good with others but I’ve not tried. I particularly like the email to print function as I can literally email a file directly to the printer and will be sat there ready when I arrive having used the default settings I entered. Seriously good functionality and quality for the price.
