This electric lighter works great! It's very handy to have. Easy to use, because you don't have to worry how to angle the 'nozzle' just right, like you do with a flame-based lighter. And it really works! I like that it's rechargeable. I have never refilled the butane lighters, just threw them away, so this one keeps me from having to do that.Watch out, though, because the plasma arc is HOT and will burn (hey, that's what it was designed to do!). Sure it's cool to hear the little crackle and see the tiny arc, but I wouldn't let the kids play with this one. Thing works awesome! Great little stocking stuffer idea as my wife uses a lot of those scented candles. Word to the wise….dont stick your finger in the burner slot.The Y-chromosome kicked in and I thought to myself, “How would this feel if I stuck my finger in there and hit the button?” Answer: it packs more of a punch than I anticipated! Felt it all the way to my toes and it left two tiny little dark marks on my thumb and pointer finger where it zapped me.My own dumb fault and further proof that this thing will have no problems lighting candles….but in a bind might also function well as a replacement to the tried and true wooden spoon threat to your children.

So far I have liked this candle lighter. It's definitely different than a regular candle lighter, in a good way! A plus has been that I don't have to worry so much about my 7 year old grandaughter getting her hands on it and possibly hurting herself. I've been using it daily to light my holiday caandles.

I wasn’t happy with the product. I found it difficult to get the candles lit compared to an extended lighter. It is a cool idea but not that practical or efficient. It does work just not as good as a lighter. Since it’s battery powered it likely works longer than a fluid lighter. But in the end we threw it away.

This is perfect for lighting candles when there is a breeze or when you have to reach over and light several candles and don’t want to get burned. Easy to see how much charge is left and the light is a bonus so you can see when it is on and if you are in the dark. Must have for every household.
