Bit of a b!tch to get programmed correctly and it is still ocassionally a surprise as to what happens when I touch it, but overall happy and beats a pull chord

Our electrician said quite complicated to fit. Takes a bit of getting used to. It is a good idea but you wouldn't know where to touch the tile for the different functions without the external pad, but it looks cheap and tacky. A white foam strip with dots on it, totally spoils the whole thing. Apart from that still working without problems 6 months on, but would be very tricky to change if needed.

Not impressed. Trying to link the tap tile unit with receiver very hit and miss and the range very poor which gave no confidence of operating every time.

You need to take care when setting up. I sited the receivers for the light and shower above the light fitting, so reception is no problem. I sited the power supply for the switch unit in the loft above the old switch and used the switch trunking for the power cable. All that was then required was to cut a chunk of plaster out to house the switch and smooth a bit off the back of a tile to cover it. It's essential to make sure the unit is flush with the back of the tile, and test before sticking anything. We programmed the unit for just the main light and separate fan. It's great to have 1/4 1/2 or full light at the touch of the tile. I'm surprised that some reviewers criticise the supplied decal as this is just and example and fine to kick off with. Next step is to design our own pictograms for the various functions, using waterslide decal paper (sold on Amazon).

Good product works well

Works fine until it is mounted to the tile. Then it stops working. Tried multiple times, even reduced the tile thickness in the relevant area. This product is simply not fit for purpose. I'd urge anyone to avoid it. Utterly useless.

I bought one of these systems around 12or 13 years ago . It controls 6 downlights which can be dimmed by pre-sets or by pressing the tile for variable output . The system also controls the electric shower by means of a 60amp contactor . I have fitted a blue LED strip behind my shaver light which comes on when I activate the shower tap tile switch . As I say completely brilliant even after around 13 years. The tile I use for control has the sensor strip behind it and the tile is etched with 6 control points. From reading the comments regarding the Installation , Get a Competent electrician in . I fitted it myself in around two hours and has worked perfectly ever since . Thankyou tap tile.
