A Game-Changer for Mobile Gaming
I recently purchased the Backbone One Mobile Gaming Controller, and it has completely transformed my mobile gaming experience. The setup was straightforward—just plug in my iPhone, and I was ready to play. The controller feels very comfortable in the hand, and the tactile feedback from the analog sticks is excellent—responsive and satisfying to use, much like a traditional console controller. Pros: Seamless Integration: Works flawlessly with my iPhone, providing a console-like gaming experience. Ergonomic Design: Comfortable to hold during extended gaming sessions. Tactile Analog Sticks: Great feedback that enhances control and precision. Low Latency: Responsive controls with minimal input delay. Pass-Through Charging: Allows me to charge my phone while gaming, ensuring uninterrupted play. Backbone App Access: Provides a hub for all my games, game recommendations, and social features. Was going to return at first glad I never
When I bought this android version( Black backbone ) I was like yeah can remote play my xbox series x and my ps5 I was excited to say the least when it turnd up , I set it up on my phone then was looking for the ps remote play app , it wasn't there I was like what's going on here amazon was saying on there site it was compatible WRONG only the white usbc version is Compatible with everything , so I was going to send it back , BUT then I found an app in the play store Called PSPLAY which states its compatible with any controller, So I got the app I had to pay for the full version which I think was 6 quid or there abouts ,BOOM WORKS FLAWLESS, so I cancelled my return as now I got this baby working a treat ,the psplay app is better than the stock app so yeah happy days , So glad I never sent this back now what a great little device , I have also got this working on my tab s 8 ultra which looks fantastic which I must add I connected it to the tabs usbc port and added the backbone app to the tab , you can also use samsung flow to connect which is pretty good so needless to say I love this thing 😁😁

Great for the most part.....
Firstly, the way it sits in the hand is comfortable but you'll become paranoid you bend the thing! As for everything else well that's a different story. Not all android games accept controllers, remote play function and cloud gaming whilst not a backbone issue require a very good fast (full fibre or 4G minimum) net connection so be mindful of that. The games I have played have been awesome. The controller is responsive and feels solid in construction. I haven't experienced any input lag and the software isn't too bad either. Long gaming sessions are comfortable with this in hand and it even has a capture function if you use it. It is very well made and if you game on the move or have to share the tv with the rest of your family or even if you want to game on your comfortable sofa rather than your desk chair then this is for you. Only reason for 4 stars is there is stuff behind a paywall you should get for free considering the cost of the unit other than that it's a great bit of kit.

Good idea but unreliable
This is actually incredible in many respects, such a good idea. But they have a what seems a very common fault and that is the left side becoming faulty. This is the 2nd one I’ve had do it. The first one I thought was just bad luck so I just brought a new one, but now it’s happened to my second one I did some research and reading, and this is clearly a known problem with no long term resolution. Warranty claim opened and hopefully I’ll get a replacement but the process will happen over and over again one assumes. It’s a shame because it’s a fantastic idea.

The best gaming experience on the go
I usually don’t like writing product reviews because I’m lazy and almost always busy, but I had to write one for this legend. This backbone controller has immediately became my best gaming system already. I can play all my xbox games on the go, with excellent graphics, smooth gameplay and almost zero lags, which is quite impressive. It’s difficult for me to find time to sit in front of the tv or in front pf my laptop to play xbox/pc games, this thing allows me to play whatever position, wherever I want.

Great product
Overall, the Backbone.js Controller serves as an effective tool for structuring JavaScript applications. Its MVC architecture encourages clean coding practices, and its flexibility allows for a tailored development experience. While it isn't necessarily a one-size-fits-all solution for every

(Gen 2) This has revolutionised my gaming experience.
I purchased 2 of these to be used with the IPhone Pro Max. (I was skeptical originally because I had read reviews and comments regarding firmware problems) When I saw that the Gen 2 had been released and sorted these problems I pulled the trigger and bought them. So far these have been amazing as I now have the Xbox cloud in my hands at any given time. I don’t own an actual console so this option really has been game changing (pardon the pun) I would recommend the backbone to anyone that is in the market for this kind of thing as they are ergonomic and comfortable in the hand even during long play sessions (Starfield) and the buttons and sticks so far are quality.

Works well, but subscription is a con
Really like the controller and works well, my only issue is that it will not connect to an iPad or similar device. Unless you pay a subscription, which seems a bit wrong to lock this behind a paywall. When the controller is not cheap. Almost better to get a PS5 controller and a stand for your phone.

Love this controller. If you're a gamer this is a must have product. Makes playing games on your phone that much more enjoyable. Frees up the screen so you can see more. A great product.

(Review from a hardcore console gamer.) I've tried a few mobile game controllers in the past, and they've all had the same problem: they couldn't fit my big phone with a thick case on it. And I don't have the patience to remove my phone case every time I want to game. So I gave up on the idea altogether. Fast forward a few years, and I really want to take advantage of Xbox Cloud Gaming on my (now even bigger!) phone, so I start researching mobile game controllers again, and come across this beauty. Here are my thoughts after a month of surprisingly heavy usage. Pros: - Fits my huge Galaxy S23 Ultra with a thick case (the Grip from dbrand) PERFECTLY! 🤌 - Small form factor, yet still manages to feel comfortable in your hands (mine are slightly larger-than-average), even during long play sessions; it feels like a slightly smaller Nintendo Switch. - Satisfyingly "clicky" buttons, analog sticks, triggers, and bumpers. The analog sticks are slightly longer than the Switch's Joy-Cons, making these feel better. - Haptic feedback feels really cool (if your game supports it)! - The controller is very light, but doesn't feel cheap. - The app (which isn't required to use the controller) is actually very sleek and handy if you give it a chance. Lots of customization options, including the ability to map touchscreen controls (if you subscribe) for games that don't officially support a controller. - It barely uses your phone's battery. I've literally played for HOURS without seeing any hits to my battery. - Perfect for Game Pass streaming or Xbox remote play. I've actually started using the services even MORE thanks to this controller. - You can charge your phone through an easy-to-access USB-C port on the bottom right of the controller. Cons: - I haven't found any games that support haptic feedback yet, although the majority of my gaming is on Game Pass. - The cooler app features (like the touchscreen control mapping) are locked behind a paywall. - Free users have to dismiss an offer to subscribe to the app EVERY TIME you open it. Mostly just annoying, but still. - If my phone were just half an inch longer, I'd have difficulty fitting it into the controller's brackets. If my next phone is bigger, this may no longer work with it. - This is nit-picking, but I feel like the Menu and Options are buttons are oddly placed, like they're practically on the corners of the controller. However, I quickly got used to their positions after a few minutes of play. - Nit-picking again, but a basic case (sold separately) should be included with the controller since it's so thin and I'd be afraid to throw it in a backpack without any kind of protection. This is THE BEST mobile game controller I've used, and it's really led me to take advantage of and enjoy great gaming sessions from literally anywhere! Highly recommended. 👍
