This roller does a superb job of blocking out sensitive information on letters before recycling, and it is much more convenient than the shredder which has found itself relegated to the loft. I've knocked it off my desk more times than I care to count, and it is still held together nicely with no mess as a result of my clumsiness. It's small, convenient, and takes seconds to use.

I bought this to cut down on time destroying things with personal details on, before recycling.This arrived with thorough instructions on how to top up the ink/store etc.The roller is sturdy, not at all flimsy, and features a screw-cap so the lid’s not going to fall off.I’ve tested this on various types of paper and different fonts/types of printing. For total peace of mind, I will definitely be doing 2 swipes of the roller, it’s absolutely impossible to see any print in all of my tests. The only exception is anything where the print is raised - by angling the print into the light you can still see raised print clearly (like on a credit card).This worked fine on card, paper and shiny labels - but give the ink plenty of time to dry on shinier surfaces.I’m definitely going to keep using this, it offers peace of mind and saves time. I would have liked an ink refill to have come with this, but it’s a robust and effective roller, so it’s still a keeper.

This is great for helping against identity theft or nosy people. It uses the manufacturer's German ink and previous experience is that Germany has some of the finest quality inks. This is no exception, as the roller applies it smoothly over names, addresses and other private data on paper so that it's no longer legible and the ink dries in seconds. It can't be removed then so your data is as good as destroyed. So far the roller uses so little ink, as one pass is enough. It clicks back together with its top to stop the ink drying out and that works fine too. It's not cheap but it works perfectly.

Got two of these with extra ink refills to protect against ID theft and fraud.Easy to use and saves a lot of time because you don't have to shred utility bills and documents with your name and address on, meaning added security when disposing of bills etc, etc.Good item to have in the fight against crime.

After trying cheaper versions that had no reservoir, gave up and bought this very good product design and ease of use .Would recommend this product good quality.

Purchased this when it was on a deal great little item great for obliterating your private details used it on the Amazon delivery box two passes over my address had rendered it unreadable what’s it like on other types of surfaces only time will tell. I marked it down a star purely down to its normal retail price and the price of their own replacement refills which to me seem expensive compared to others.This should and hopefully save me a lot of time and effort not having to cut my details up on parcels envelopes etc.Update doesn’t work on shiny surfaces it wipes off luckily this was on my hands and not on my clothes or furniture, I have also noticed on some address labels after I’ve use you can still read the address if the light is at a certain angle even with a few repeat runs over it.
