Great customer service
Update, after leaving my review Lumenix reached out to me and replaced the original, they went out of their way to make it right. After maybe 10 minutes of use 3 sets of the LEDs stopped flashing bright on the drivers side and one set of the LEDs on the passenger side dimmed soon after, I was really happy with them until that, the lights seemed very bright until they weren't.

Bad ass EJ lights
I love these things. I’ve had them for well over a year and they still run like they brand new. They’re red the blue do not look cheap and do not turn purple when flashing and they are wider than a lot of other people’s brand names lights.

Poor product.
The lights installed easily enough, loved the remote feature. However. I’ve been through 3 sets of these and all three have failed. The first burned right through the plug. The second quit working all together. The third the amber leds quit working and only half of the white work. 10/10 would not recommend.

Best yet worst strobe lights
If you are looking for the brightest budget strobe lights with a separate controller on Amazon, then this is it. But here's the catch, the controller doesn't actually work properly: 1. The power button temporarily turns off the lights. As soon as your vehicle is turned off and then turned back on the strobe lights turn on as if the power button was clicked on. The solution I found was to switch off the power from the switch on the cigarette lighter end, or turn off the power to that port, but if you decide to hardwire it to the fuse then good luck. 2. The pattern button doesn't save the last mode that you were on. Just to clarify, the favorite button works, hold down that button for 3 seconds when you're in a mode that you like and it'll save it to that button. With all other companies on the market the pattern button is just a cycle button that lets you go through the 36 strobe options, but remember the last pattern that you were on. With this controller though, if you were on pattern #8 and then you click the right direction arrow button which is pattern #36 and then click back on pattern it'll take you to the next pattern that comes after #36 which would be #1. So, have I spoken to the company about this, they have no real support number. At best the number that you get is just too look official on Amazon, but no one picks up your calls at any time. So I reached out via the app, and they said they will send me a new controller, but lo and behold, this one has the same issues, so....... By the way, the flashback is horrible, but yes, it's dependent on your vehicle and it's something that can be fixed with the use of a gasket. Would I recommend this product...... I think is best answered with two questions, is this actually the brightest budget strobe lights with a separate controller on Amazon? If it is, is it worth getting it with all the issues that the controller has. Edit update: I added a star because the company reached out to me on the sellers page and took out the time to go over the issue and find the best solution for me. Sadly it was just a refund not a fix but they spent a lot of time discussing a solution with me, so kudos to them for doing that.

So close to perfection (even with two stars!)
I can tell you in a nutshell why these lights are frequently returned. The directional lighting goes opposite of the controller when installing onto the front windshield. The power cables between the primary light and the tethered one are so skewed that you might want to remove the electronics, flip around and actually do some drilling into the secondary aluminum shell, and install so that the power and directional cables hang from the passenger side and wire that way. Here’s what I did: the connecting cable between the two light bars is so long that I moved the extra cable within the secondary light bar to minimize cord hanging. But the fact that you’d have to suction cup the primary bar where the cable hangs below the rear view mirror sets people off, and I have actually returned two of these units over the past year. This time I removed the guts from the power light bar and double checked that the flash patterns mimicked the controller’s illumination which prompted me to flip the LED strip in the opposite direction. This also meant that I had to drill a large enough hole - rather, a slot - in the other side of the shell so that I could place the connecting wire from the opposite side so that the cable goes directly from the end of the primary bar to the secondary bar. For that, quality control is really horrid for the manufacturer to compel purchasers to make such adjustments. THREE star deduction for that alone because that’s inexcusable. That said, if you choose to make all the necessary adjustments? The unit functions quite well, throws out a light pattern that’s narrow and wide yet bright enough to be seen. That said, don’t rely on this split visor alone because these LEDs are only one watt each, so the excellent lenses help with that light output so much that it almost looks as bright as my 3-watt/LED center dash bar. Even with the cables running along the door frame and across beneath the dash of a Telluride, the cord length is outstanding, even regarding the controller. If you do choose to try to keep this and make mods, the power cable is a simple two polarity pos/neg, and the controller has a four-pole connector. Amazon’s businesses do sell waterproof connectors along with four pole 20 AWG cords should you need to extend it. My connector is actually longer than the power cable. At any rate I favor the design of the light as well as the use of suction cups (but do use the clear suction cup stickers - they really anchor lights quite well for the long haul. And this kind of attachment far exceeds the use of those blasted aluminum visor brackets. I have tried all ways with three different vehicles to use those horrible brackets. This style is exceedingly better and simpler. As long as they aren’t too long between your rear view mirror and the A pillar (and be certain that you don’t hide wires or hang your lights to interfere with the way your A pillar airbags deploy) you should be good to go. All Lumenix needs is to give light kits to a car enthusiast who drives on the left side and one who drives on the right side, and ask for feedback. We will share because we care. Lastly… have a setting on the controller so that the user can mount either in the front windshield or the rear window. These light shield brackets would work well with sedans but SUVs and pickup trucks would have an issue with the sloping angle of your shields. Is the metal that expensive that you can’t make L brackets with dual suction cups for pickups and SUV installation?? I mean charge a couple bucks more and pack them in after you tweak the wiring. You’re that close to a truly amazing unit (and make the LEDs with 3 watts of power each too). That kind of mod would be cut into the established well known brands. PS: while this has like 37 or 38 flash patterns, also tweak the patterns because some of these are straight up redundant and others are just too slow in flashing vs the darkness between lighting. Also allow for three favorite patterns and a selection to reset the flash patterns to the first one, rather than making us go all through patterns before returning to pattern one. In closing, by no means do I think this is junk. Quite the contrary, it has SO MUCH promise. Yes it’s installed on my SUV. I can wait to dispatch with these on. It looks excellent after my modifications. There are some unfair conclusions that trash this unit (but I have no idea about longevity, and many of these established companies have five year warranties. Looking inside I saw the shortcuts. Who knows how long soldering, electronics or the LEDs themselves will last? I’ve had this only a few months and they work fine. I will return to add video and images.

Great
I have had these visor lights for almost a year now and I have had no issues. I got the amber/white and have had no problem with the suction cups falling off at all or even any fuse blown. Obviously the lights themselves aren’t the best quality you’re only paying $60. But for $60 the lights are pretty bright and really good quality. On other lumenix products I’ve had the controllers break on my several times but with this one I’ve never had break and still works great.

Lo puse por dentro del carro, se resbalaba constantemente y también es complicado tanto cable, mucho fierro o metal, no necesario. Mejor pedí otro que me resulto mucho más fácil poner y de buena calidad.
