Surprisingly Slick Little Upgrade for Older Cars
I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I do. I drive an older SUV (no built-in CarPlay or Android Auto), and I didn’t want to rip out my whole dash just to modernize my infotainment. Enter the Miroir Drivvplay — it’s like giving my car a 2024 brain without surgery. Setup was super easy. It powers via USB or the included car adapter, and connects wirelessly to my phone. I’m on Android, my wife uses an iPhone, and it handles both platforms without issues. The touchscreen is 5 inches, which isn’t huge, but honestly it’s bright, responsive, and doesn’t clutter the dashboard. It sits nicely on the dash with the included mount — not some suction cup nightmare. Wireless Android Auto connects fast, usually within 10 seconds of starting the car. I’ve used it for calls, maps, and Spotify without a hiccup. Bluetooth 5.0 works well, and the FM and AUX options give you some flexibility depending on your car's stereo setup. I personally went with AUX for cleaner sound, and it's pretty crisp for what it is. The built-in mic is okay — not amazing, but good enough for voice commands and quick calls. Definitely beats shouting into your phone on speaker. Also, Mirror Link and AirPlay worked when I tested them, though I mostly stick with Android Auto. Bonus points: it doesn’t look cheap or toy-like. The UI is clean and responsive, and the build quality is better than I expected for the price. If you want wireless CarPlay/Android Auto in a car that predates those features — and don’t want to spend $600+ on a new head unit — this thing is a steal. It’s not luxury OEM-tier, but it absolutely gets the job done, and then some.

Nearly perfect
My car is a ‘12 pursuit charger without CarPlay and I do not want to change the original dash to fit a aftermarket aftermarket touch screen, so I put this screen in the little cubby below it and it works perfectly. Connects within 10 second of turning it on, I use the aux port and the sound quality is good, and the brightness is good. I have dark tint so the brightness doesn’t bother me. The only problem I have with it is the very intense input lag. When I switch songs, it takes a few seconds to actually start playing it. If Miroir could put some more work into it and make it more responsive like a oem CarPlay system, that would be a dream and would easily be a 5/5.

Only lasted 8 months, but it was exactly what I was looking for and worked great until it didn't.
I loved my CarPlay screen. It was easy to use, small enough to fit in my center consult, but still delivered clear images, automatically connected with surprising speed, and was a great price. The sound quality was clear and loud both through the AUX cord and the speakers. The only cons are the power and AUX port placement is on the bottom so I couldn't use my phone holder, and it JUST stopped working after only 8 months. It's really unfortunate because it was perfect for my 2010 Subaru Forester.

Won't stay on, keeps powering off for no reason.
Unit keeps turning off for no reason. Some days just a few times, other days repeatedly back to back as soon as it comes back on it turns off again.

5 inch form factor is the one I needed, and function-wise, it’s worth the price.
best size for my car, I don’t need big one. Booting up is quick and easy to use, it’s quite convenient.

Worked great until I put on my sunglasses
It was the perfect size for my car and worked great... until I put on my sunglasses. My glasses are polarized, and it made the screen appear black. I always wear polarized sunglasses, I've had a few of these portable units, and this is the only one that's ever done this. I suspect it was a defective screen, but that's just a guess. The only way I could see it was to turn it sideways, to drive without my sunglasses on, or change to lesser non-polarized sunglasses. None of those were options for me, so I returned it for a refund.

The Provided Cord Didn't Work With the Unit
First off, I couldn't get the unit to turn on no matter what I did. I finally changed the cord out for a different one and the unit turned on instantly. Now it works like a charm. Easy to connect and use. I had purchased a different one before that was very difficult to connect and use also, it was a 7" which I found to be too large for my dashboard. That's how I had an extra cord to try. I really like this smaller unit. Works great for my 2017 Mini which doesn't have the onboard display.

iPhone Bluetooth audio
The instructions are very clear and the device is easy to setup. It works very well. One issue is after having used it and I turned the vehicle off, I, have to manually turn off the device. I suppose it is being powered by its internal battery. A second, more irritating issue is, after turning everything off, my iPhone remains in Bluetooth Audio mode for phone calls, and I have to manually change it back to iPhone. The first time I received a call, after the initial installation, I wasn’t getting audio, and it took a while to find where to change it back to iPhone. I understand that issue is more of an iPhone issue, but it is the only time I’ve run into that behavior. A third issue I ran into was, I had purchased a 256 Gigabyte SD card, but the device shows a message when it powers up that the card is not formatted. I think it is because the card is formatted as exFAT and the SDcard that comes with the device is formatted as FAT32, not sure if that is the issue or that it’s just too large. Other than those relatively minor issues, I’ve used my Spotify app to play music through the FM interface and used the Maps app. Both worked seamlessly.
