What not to like about this crimper. It works as advertised an the lugs and shrink wrap are of good quality.02/17/25 Crimper is still working well, just found out with a file the lugs are copper washed brass.

There must be a fever somewhere that tools of this quality are being sold so inexpensively. Easy to use and easy to squeeze and I'm over 60, and a computer programmer with very little upper body strength. But I was able to get the included crimps on the wire, a #6 and #8 is all I've done so far. But makes a nice tight fit.

I got the tool but never got the lugs for it

This is a well made tool. And with the multiple settings, I was able to do multiple jobs; connecting terminals for 1/0 AWG welding wire for an inverter installation and 2/0 for an auto battery. I believe there are 5 different settings for different size lugs. Easy to use and change for different wire sizes.Two things to watch for: 1) As you're gripping the lug to crimp it, make sure it stays in place on the wire. It's hard to see the position of the lug and pretty easy to wind up crimping half way off of the wire. 2) In order to get the tool around the lug you have to open the jaws all the way. You need about 25 inches of clear space to open the tool wide enough. So, not great in tight spaces.

I used this tool to crimp about 80 lugs from 1/0 to 10 ga. I only got about 10 nicely formed crimps. I feel comfortable with the crimp connection, it just didn't perform a uniform factory looking crimp. I think there may be issue with metric over ase, or different mfg lugs. Either way, it did work and I saved on the cheaper price of this tool.

I have no idea why some people are complaining about this crimping tool. I crimped one copper connector to 4 gauge wire with absolutely no issue.Some complain that the wire slips out of the crimped connector after crimping, which it does not. To verify this I put the end of the copper connector in my vise then tugged on me wire and the wire did not come out of the connector. The setting was between 25 and 35 which worked perfect.I purchased this crimper for car audio wire installation along with power inverter installs. I find that the value for the money is great and the adjustability of the tool works perfectly. If you're looking for a crimper to do high voltage AC then yes you might want to buy a more expensive tool, but this one works fine for what it is. You can't beat this tool for the price. My two cents.
