Q: Will this unit work on overseas power?

Mine came with an internal power supply (no external power block) and it had 100-240V input, so no problem with overseas power. The smaller 8 port gigabit Netgear switches (GS1098A) came with 110V power adapters, so I had to get different power adapters for those.

Q: Being poe, what happens if i plug in my computer or laptop to the switch does it damage non poe devices ?

Connecting a non-PoE device to the JGS516 will not damage it and it will just establish a connection to the switch.

Q: what is the depth of the switch

The switch dimensions are 1.7 x 12.6 x 6.7 in. Rack mount ears are included for mounting in a standard 19" rack.

Q: Im looking at the jgs516 model. will this work well for ps4 lan party gaming? i plan to link 10 consoles for lan gaming.

Yup! It's thousand base networking, you should be good. You'll need a router or something that can be a DHCP server though, it doesn't do network address allocation.
