Works great! And you can skip the 'gradual change' part!
I tried using it as directed but the color never really took, other than a pale yellowish brown. This was after 2 weeks of daily use.So I spread it medium-thick throughout my damp beard and hair, being careful not to foam it up, then waited a half hour. I'd occasionally move it around to keep the 'dye' moving around a bit.Rinsed it out and... I went from snow white to brown! Slightly darker than I wanted it, but it showed me how to get this stuff to work right from the get-go. I now use it once a week and the color has lightened a bit and maintained a less "trying too hard" look.I sometimes take it back to completely gray and then play with color - next time I'll give it 15 minutes and also apply it sooner to parts that didn't take up the color as well. Play around! It's just hair!** big bonus ** no skin irritation like the dyes that melt your face off! This stuff is gentle - the most irritation I got was from having a drying soap on my face for so long, but moisturizer fixed that right up!It won't get rid of all the gray - it definitely leaves you looking 10 years younger, like when you started to go gray and it was sexy and mature looking!

Works great for me. Worth your $8.00. Give it a try. Follow the direction.
This works flawlessly. Used just as directed. Did test patch as required for allergic or negative reaction and was all clear so began using every day for about 2 weeks with ever so slight changes day by day. Reached the color I wanted after 2 weeks exactly and switched to maintenance mode. I have white to grey hair all over my head. It went to light brown/blonde which is(was) my natural hair color. Not a really harsh dark brown. I leave it in for between 60 and 90 seconds and rinse thoroughly. I did notice after my first few times that my fingernails began to get a little affected so after about day four of my initial use I started lathering this product in and immediately washing my hands with a touch of bar soap paying special attention to my nails and rinsing it off while my hair got the 60 to 90 second treatment. Since I made that part of my routine there is absolutely no nail discoloration at all. I have short hair - generally less than an inch in length, and this penetrates right down to the scalp. I find this works excellent for me. I have also found that this tube will last me about 2 months. I use about a dime of shampoo in my palm and am able to get a full lather. I use my finger tips just like usual but I added the hand wash routine as mentioned above and have had no other issues. I highly recommend this product.

Subtle changes, no bad side effects here!
I have been using this product for a few months and it has worked pretty well. I bought it because I have been steadily increasing the amount of gray hair I have now for about 6 years (when my first children were born!). While its only gotten to 20% or so of my head being gray, I didn't want it to get any worse and was hoping to subtly add some color back in places like my temples. This has worked as described. I can tell the difference now, but it looks natural, still with some gray but just less heavy. I have not had any bad side effects either, like the graying nails or fingers I read in some other reviews. I am careful to apply and lather with palms, as instructions suggest, and only use a modest amount. My hair did seem slightly drier than usual, although I am not certain if it was related to this product. I simply made sure I used good conditioner on days when I used regular shampoo and the issue went away.

Heck Yeah!
At 50, I was pretty grey, pretty fast on the sides. I don’t care about getting older, I just don’t want to look like may father at the same age. I bought the blonde to light brown and used it every day for 2 weeks.I get in the shower, wet my hair, lather in this shampoo, then do the rest of my routine with body soap. I wondered how long I was actually leaving it in before I rinsed it out after I finished my routine, so I timed myself with my phone leaned against the glass. Roughly 3 minutes. Rinse it out, dry off, no issues. After 2 weeks I am back to my natural hair color. I’m lucky at 50 and have as much hair as I did at 18. Took my son and I to get a haircut by the same lady who has cut our hair for 15+ years. She actually said, “you don’t have any grey hair that’s not fair!” (She is 5 years older than me).I use it twice a week now. No change so far. Fingernails on dominate hand did change slightly. Almost like they got smashed and were dark at the cuticle. No one noticed.I have white and natural stone in my shower, so I do keep Clorox shower cleaner with bleach and spray it down after I’m done with GX (OCD).I don’t mind some grey hair, I don’t want to look like I color my hair. You will like this product.

Okay, but the "Brain" is still flummoxed by resistant greys
Update: After finishing the tube, I've decided to go back to JFM Original at least for now, in one shade lighter than my natural color, leaving it on for an extra few minutes. Convenience aside, I find that it does the better job of covering greys for me, maybe because the peroxide enhances penetration. I'm even thinking of trying Clairol Natural Instincts in women's dark cool blonde at some point (no law against that).Control Gx is okay for grey reduction, but in order to cover (or try to cover) enough for some of us youngish subjects of sub-par genetics and/or chronic stress, it appears that you have to use it to the point of darkening your natural color some. Which in turn might come at the risk of some remaining greys (or brassy former greys) standing out. In a way, it's similar to the Original Formula, which "targets the grey", but apparently also the rest given what happens when you overdo it a bit while trying to fight the resistance. That said, for some it may be a little more convenient to shampoo every so often to restore some color than to do a dye job every X weeks. And it could be better for those regularly using Original but throwing out half the product because they have short hair. Overall, it's better than trying to hunt down an acceptable women's permanent color and hoping it doesn't fry your hair or be judged too artificial for a man. ;-)
