Tasty
We love Stubbs bbq sauce, and decided to try the rub on our last ribs. Very pleased with results of using Stubbs rub, and topped off with Stubbs BBQ sauce.

Couldn’t find a purpose for this sugary all-purpose blend
Please don’t misunderstand; I LOVE sugar. But the amount of sugar in this Stubb’s Texas all-purpose seasoning blend really took me by surprise. I had made a crab mac and cheese from scratch and I wanted to give it an extra kick so I added just a sprinkle of this to a bite of my food and was taken aback by what a bad idea this turned out to be. The next day we grilled some steaks and found that this doesn’t work on steak either. Now it became a challenge. We made chicken breast, chicken thighs, and pork chops. They were all acceptable but not great, and we both said we wouldn’t use this seasoning on any of the above again. My last-ditch effort was adding it to a store-bought, store-made potato salad and that was the only decision that seemed like a good one. We have two other Texas all-purpose rubs in our seasoning inventory and this one ranks third (Kinder is the clear winner, and if you haven’t tried it, know that you can find it right here on Amazon). I’m not even sure we will end up keeping it as it is a huge container and takes up a lot of space. Time and better seasonings will tell.
