Tough, Reliable, and Keeps the Mess Out — Your Suit of Armour for Dirty Jobs
The Ansell AlphaTec 1500 is like a hazmat suit’s more fashionable cousin — it’s sturdy, protective, and surprisingly comfortable for a disposable coverall. It’s Type 5/6 certified, which means it’s great for keeping out hazardous dusts and light chemical splashes, making it perfect for everything from DIY projects to industrial use (or for that ambitious deep-cleaning spree you’ve been putting off). The hood fits snugly without restricting movement, and the elastic cuffs keep everything secure, so you’re not left with gaps that could let in unwanted mess (or leave you looking like you’ve lost a fight with a paint roller). Despite its strong protection, it’s lightweight and breathable enough that you won’t feel like you’re trapped in a portable sauna — a big plus if you’re wearing it for long shifts. The waterproof fabric holds up well to splashes and spills, so whether you’re dealing with chemicals, paint, or garden sprays, it’s got you covered (literally). It’s unisex and fits a wide range of sizes comfortably, so you won’t feel like you’re wearing a tent or squeezing into a sausage casing. In short, it’s a solid, disposable work suit that makes you feel like a DIY superhero. Just don’t get any ideas about wearing it as a costume unless you want to be mistaken for a visitor from Chernobyl!

Cheap and cheerful - but wears through quickly
Well sized and does the job - the zip mechanism is decent, and the suit provides adequate full body coverage. However, it is not very robust (but to be fair, this is to be somewhat expected for a disposable overall at this price). I have tried other similarly priced overalls that were a bit more durable. This one has a tendency to wear quickly at the knees, as well as in all tension areas - crotch, knees, etc.If you need this for a small project then it's fine - but opt for something more durable if you intend to use it multiple times.

Perfect fit
Very good quality and surprisingly comfortable to wear. The fit is great, easy to move around in, and does the job perfectly. Lightweight but still feels durable, exactly what I needed.

Clothing protection.
The size of the item fits well, plenty enough space for all duties ie,painting ceiling walls ect. Nice and lightweight. Good item for protecting the clothing underneath.

Overalls for decorating
Good length. Colour as described. Quality is awful, it ripped as soon as I tried it on but still used it for painting a few rooms then threw ut away. It was long enough for me im 5ft8, if you're taller I doubt this will fit but double check. Money paid was ok but would have been nice to have kept it if the material wasn't bad.

Good for painting
Great, comfortable and good value. They fit well and thick enough that they don’t rip easily

Good item, but a bit thin.
Good item, it does protect you and the size I ordered fit me well. They are a bit thin so they can rip..

Easy to put on and does a great job of protection
I recently purchased this protective coverall for asbestos-related DIY work and was really impressed by the quality and comfort. The SMS fabric provides excellent protection — knowing it filters 100% of particles larger than 3 microns gives me confidence when working around harmful dust like Chrysotile asbestos. It’s clearly built with safety in mind, meeting CE Category III standards (Type 5/6) and even tested for particle penetration. What stood out to me was how comfortable and practical it is for extended use. The elasticated cuffs, hood, waist, and ankles give a secure fit without restricting movement. The 2-way front zip with storm flap is easy to get on and off, and the stitched and taped seams offer extra durability and a tight seal.I used it for insulation removal and later for spray painting, and it held up very well. No tearing, and it helped keep me cool thanks to the breathable, silicon-free fabric. Also appreciated the fact it comes in various colours and sizes — makes it easier to suit individual needs.Pros:Certified protection against hazardous particles like asbestosStrong SMS fabric filters particles larger than 3 micronsComfortable fit with elasticated seams and breathable materialDurable design with taped seams and re-sealable storm flapAvailable in multiple colours and sizes for custom fitCons:Can get warm with long use in tight spaces despite breathabilityDisposable design – not reusable after heavy contaminationSlightly stiff at first but loosens with movementOverall, this is a reliable, well-tested suit for both professional and DIY use — ideal for painting, construction, or working around hazardous dust. It offers excellent protection without compromising on comfort.Would you like a shorter version or
