Q: How do these differ from the sliding discs that are like frisbees with covers? I have those and am able to move in all directions using core control.

The Core Flytes are very different from all other "sliding / gliding / rolling" products (e.g., Gliding Disks, Valslide, Slidez, Ab Dolly, etc.) and offer a unique experience to users for many reasons:1. Stability Component Added to All Exercises: Core Flytes provide a completely different user experience. The Core Flytes are about stability, CONTROL as opposed to FORCE. Core Flytes use OMNI-DIRECTIONAL ball bearings which means they can move freely in any direction.2. Facilitates Both Stationary AND Moving Exercises: No other product requires the user to stabilize the device whether in motion or while trying to keep them still. Users must stabilize the Core Flytes when performing exercises that require keeping them stationary, like pushups or planks for example. Core Flytes requires more effort to control when performing moving exercises, like lunges and ab rollouts. 3. Increased Core & Other Muscle Activation: The Core Flytes can move along multiple axes while under load, requiring little or no force to change direction at any moment. This requires the user to activate more secondary and supporting muscles, plus core and abdominal muscles, to stabilize the Core Flytes during any exercise.4. Omni-directional Movement: Other products with wheels or flat smooth surfaces can only move well across the floor in one direction at a time, requiring the user to apply force in that particular direction. Core Flytes, however, can move along multiple axes because they are on balls.5. Multi-Surface Use: No other product moves freely on all common gym and home surfaces, including non-slip rubber, carpet, wood, concrete, etc. 6. Inspires Creativity: Core Flytes introduce a completely new type of mechanics to popular exercises, and provide a platform for the innovation of new exercises!

Q: I have carpal tunnel in my right, how much pressure does it put on the wrist and hands? thank you

Using Core Flytes is similar to what you'd feel while doing exercises on a medicine ball or stability ball. The Core Flytes also have a convex top that allows you to keep your hands or feet positioned at a comfortable angle, reducing the amount of stress on your wrists and ankles. When you're using the Core Flytes with your hands on them, you place some or a large part of your bodyweight on them. You should consult a doctor to prescribe an exercise routine that accommodates for your injury.

Q: Do these come with a workout guide??

Hi Julie - Each pair of Core Flytes comes with an 8-week workout guide poster detailing a range of exercises and different levels (beginner, medium, advanced). Free workout videos are also available on FlyteFitness.com and YouTube.

Q: how well would these discs work on a carpeted surface, want to buy them for my daughter to use at home and her apartment is carpeted ?

They have nylon rollers. They don't roll well on tile, so I would be amazed if they rolled on carpet.I purchased these, but returned them. It's not a $100 quality item - cheaply made (in my opinion). I made a set myself using some ball bearing caster wheels (which you can buy for a fraction of the Core Flyte).
