I like Intel
So here is the thing, I like Intel CPU’s and that’s basically all I run since 1st gen i7 back in 2008. I’ve had AMD way back in the day and I’ve build at least a dozen AMD systems. I do production gaming and some virtualization. I already have a 13900K and a 13700kf. I’m upgrading my 2nd PC so I can do serious editing and multi task. I’m doing this on a $199 MSI Tomahawk z790. Cooler is an H100i 13700kf max all core 5.4ghz max e core 4.4ghz. On the same setup same cooler I’m hitting 5.6ghz all core and 2 core 6ghz 4.5ghz e core. Max TDP in realbench and Cinebence were 300-360watts running on -0.05 voltage. Windows loads up faster all my games load noticeably faster and multitasking went way up. I believe if the 13700kf could cook this high I would notice that much but this KS chip runs cooler than my de-lidded 13900k cause it’s not a good sample. I’m actually happy I pulled the trigger and wish I did it 2-3 months ago cause this CPU was the same price. I plan to sell my 13900k and I might get another KS because I love the performance and All my games play stutter fee even when recording.

all p-core stable 5.8Ghz at 1.37V. Ddr5 @ 8400 on a dual DIMM board
Easily breaks 29K cpu score in Timespy with daily gaming settings. At <$500, it runs circles around the 7950x at a lower price point. Memory bandwidth >135GB/s. Pair with a cpu socket mount - Thermaltake or thermal grizzly for best results.

14900KF in 13900KS packaging
Is there seriously no one checking serials on returns? Even making sure model numbers match?Of course I tested it, and it's a fully functional 14900KF so far. I still have a return window if it randomly fails... I just can't understand why someone would put a 14900KF in a 13900KS box and return it. All my testing shows it's a legitimate 14900KF. Thank you to whomever blessed me with this bargain.Edit:After a few days of gaming, I've found there may be something wrong. Random crashing of software, the operating system, random freeze/lock up and reboot... I think the prior buyer scammed Amazon with an unstable processor.Edit#2:After some time and understanding of how to use such a high-performance processor properly, I've found that the CPU is stable. It has taken much patience, but I've found I can reach the same operating capacity as others with a 14900KF who have shared benchmark results.

The "S" in KS is not Special
I purchased this in hopes of having better voltage requirements on the CPU core and the ability to clock my memory faster than my regular 13900k. It turned out for my particular 13900KS, the voltage requirements at the same clocks were only slightly better and my memory overclockability actually went down!I can't justify paying more for a worse product. Of course your experience may vary. I've seen accounts of individuals getting very good KS CPUs.
