Great Air cooler for 24 core and 64 core 7000 threadrippers
Great cooler! I have used the DH15 on my desktop platforms and now this model for both a 7960x and 7985wx. The coolers allow for extended uptime and heavy processing loads.Keep in mind, it needs to be mounted in the upward position. So for builds with multiple consumer GPU's, which have coolers designed to expel heat into the case, make sure you have adequate cool air intake to offset that generated by the GPU.

keeps the CPU cool, but takes a 𝙡𝙤𝙩 of case volume
This does its primary job of keeping my Threadripper CPU cool very well, but it won't fit inside a lot of cases. I had to go to a full-tower case to make it all fit. Then, because of the orientation and size, it gets in the way of airflow for other devices, like SSDs and GPUs.

Great addition to an all noctua build
So much bigger than I expected, but works almost silently.

I like it
Don't know much about cooling systems but I couldn't find another system that fully covered the plate on the AMD 64 core threadripper and this one does cover it and keeps it cool. On idle it's running around 35c and under full load with all cores at 100% it's 71c.

You probably want the NH-D9 instead
This mounts PERPINDICULAR to long axis of CPU which means the exhaust will blow up, and intake is coming from below (i.e. on consumer motherboards, it's pulling hot air from GPU below). If you want proper front->back airflow, you should go with the Noctua NH-D9 instead.

Okay... I'm a fan
Noctua makes great stuff and this is no exception. Ran the 32-core Threadripper full out for 30 minutes and it never throttled back; impressive given the TDP of the chip is 350 watts. The fans did spin up, but come on... I can live with that.

Awesome for regular CPU loads.
This is a great CPU cooler. It only gets four stars from me since its cooling performance was ~10C hotter than my existing AIO. I had a lot of high hopes for this as it would have reduced my overall power consumption. The other thing I didn’t like about it was it came with several bent fins on the heatsink, for the price, I expected more.
