Absolutely stunning book! I bought this for my brother for Christmas who is very picky about his home decor. We couldn't stop turning the pages! It's a very large, heavy, high end amazing quality coffee table book. It is filled with the most interesting facts and how to. The pages of the book have very cool vintage artwork and writing. The outside looks so chic. I can't stop bragging on how beautiful this book is. Absolutely worth every penny. Perfect gift!

this is an incredible book, if you love stylish, great drawn and interesting books, this MUST be in your library!(Just have a complaint with the extra pages that come separated of the book bc some concerns of other buyers)

Absolutely beautiful book, very detailed and informative. I believe I can literally restart civilization with this and am not disappointed.

The illustrations are great, a bit whimsical but still conveying the core concepts, so kudos on that. You get 3.5 stars for that, but I'll round to 4. The content is good, but somewhat disappointing in that it's touted as a guide to rebuilding, and the amount of information given is enough for a surface level understanding at best, not enough to rebuild anything. They definitely could have given deeper info on how things worked without getting too technical. But the part that really got me is the paper. It's advertised as "elegant" and "...so you can hold it in your hands and turn the pages with pleasure" but the paper is unforgivably cheap, far from a masterpiece, and does a disservice to the content and claims to be a masterpiece. For a $120 book, I would expect this thing to be of impeccable quality, and it's not.

Purchased the book as a gift for my adult son. He is enjoying the details and illustrations. If you want to know how something is made or how something is done, you'll enjoy this book. The gift box is well made.
