Switchblade: The Ace of Blades Review: Excellent comprehensive historical switchblade reference Review: No bang for your buck. - This book may be an edited version of an older work, but after two passes you would think that it would be better. There is scant little information in this book which was touted as being a reference about switchblades. I've collected for over sixty years and found this short and inadequate on all fronts. The most involved chapter of the book basically stated that OTFs were week sprung and held a mediocre description of how the mechanism worked. I was very disapointed with the book and would not recommend it to anyone.

It s okay...
Was somewhat unimpressed with overall content, but it did have some personal stories of some interest. IF you can find this at a cheaper price, it might amuse you to read. As, I understand, it is one of the very few books on the subject.

Switchblade: Ace of Blades
My seven year old nephew could have done a better editing job. If the text weren't such a compilation of useless nonsense, I'd say the Paladin editor (if there actually is one)owes Mr. Benson an apology. This book was so horribly put together (misplaced paragraphs, missing words, sentence fragments, etc.) I almost want to believe that this was a vanity printing. If so, I hope the author didn't pay too much.

not because it's good, it isn't
one of the first if not The first switchblade book written.an absolute "Must Have" for the switchblade collector. not because it's good, it isn't. JUST because it's the first one. full of nonsense, written by someone that knows fairly close to NADA about knives and especially switchblades. entertaining in it's misinformation. a absolutely wonderful book for children (i would have killed for this book when a child). if you can buy it cheap, buy it just to have.

Switchblade: The Ace of Blades
This book is a re-write of a release from years ago. The book poorly covers the construction of switchblades, it does not cover in any depth the new construction. The chapter on laws pertaining to switchblades provides a very high level overview of the law. It does not provide the reader with any information that isn't currenly avaibale by and online search.
