Good for small meals

This pot was pretty good for the time I had it, however it didn’t last more than a year. I am a very careful person, but the glass is very thin and did not hold up over time. The pot always looked a little scummy, it’s hard to get looking FULLY clear clean. Whenever I cook rice in it, it leaves burn marks on the pot. Tonight when steaming my broccoli I heard a crack and sure enough, there goes the pot… it’s possible that I accidentally hit it on something and that started the crack, but there wasn’t any particular incident that I could attribute a fracture to. I enjoyed it for the time I had it, but I will be looking for something more durable.

I am a fan of glass pans, pots, bakeware. I prefer glass cookware, I find it easier to clean, I do like to be able to see the food as it is cooking.I have only used this pan once for a simmer pot, by which I mean that I fill it with water, fruit and herbs to release the scent and moisture into the air. it is spring here at this time, so I don't need the moisture, but I will be using it this fall and winter.I like the thought that as I am cooking fish or other stinky items, I can have the simmer pot going to help diffuse some of the odors as well as some moisture into the dry winter air

I am sure that this pot can be super versatile but I use it for ramen. I can cook one or two packs of ramen noodles quickly in this pot. I love seeing everything "happening" while I chop up garnishes and "extras" to throw in at the very end. I usually cook two packs of ramen at a time but don't always eat all of it at once. I allow any leftover ramen to cool to room temp and then just put the whole little pot into the fridge. To heat back up, I allow to return to room temp again. Since there is a lid, I will pull out after breakfast and it is ready for a quick re-heat by lunchtime. I would not introduce any quick temperature changes to the pot because it is glass, after all. So far, so good!
