I can't comment on this! We're superhero fanatics - it would be a totally bias review - but I will anyway...
I can't comment on this! We're superhero fanatics - it would be a totally bias review - but I will anyway...It's perfect. I've had one celebrity crush in my 38 years - until there was AQUAMAN (and this is coming from a woman who's terrified of the ocean). Lol! I hope Mr. Mamoa found his true love before he made this movie because every woman in the world is going to want his number after they see this....I've loved WONDER WOMAN since I was a little girl (I embarrass my kids because I freak out every time I hear the theme song) - she will not disappoint you in this movie. Thank you, Ms. Gadot!...Ben Affleck does a wonderful job playing BATMAN. I usually stop watching movies when the main actor is changed - NOT this time. Hats off to you, Mr. Affleck! Batman is brave, isn't he? He's just a man - he doesn't have superpowers like all the rest. He has to worry about things like we do - like life insurance and arthritis. Lol! Batman said it best during his "Men are brave..." speech in Batman vs. Superman. He also gives the best advice to the FLASH when he freezes before his first battle, "Save one." Love it - helps teach kids to focus during difficult times...My kids love the FLASH - he's a fun, likeable character - a perfect example of what it's like to go through typical growing pains - an upper adolescent, trying to make his way in an adult world (with a superpower that he doesn't quite understand), and experiencing all of the fear and the joy that goes along with it. Thank you, Mr. Allen!...Superman speaks for himself. Thank you, Mr. Cavill!...Superman wouldn't be Superman without LOIS LANE! Ms. Adams did a phenomenal job in this movie. My favorite part is when Lois calms Superman after he's been resurrected. She arrives during his superhero freak out & just stands in front of him, looks in his eyes & says, "Please..." What a testament to the power of LOVE! The shortest line ever but very emotional and very powerful...Cyborg, I'm not forgetting you! Cyborg is a strong character who plays a key role in the resolution of the film & that today's generation can definitely relate to. With kids spending more and more time in front of their devices these days, it would be easy for them to imagine what it would be like to have a computer for a brain! Great job, Mr. Wolfman and to the entire cast! We're fans (as if you couldn't tell)...P.S. Steppenwolf is appropriately terrifying - well played, Mr. Hinds! I hid behind my husband the first time I saw you made your appearance (and the 2nd & the 3rd, LOL) Holy tamole - your voice - it chills me to the bone!

Batman Gadgets, A Huge Surprise, Great Humor and Room for More...
This is the first DC Movie I have seen since the early Batman series ended with Batman Vs Superman, a film that I thought was very well done in action and adventure. The CGI for Steppenwolf was adequate and he is a powerful force that awes. The storyline was contextually engaging, but just that, contextual, like in a bubble. While in that bubble, the movie is amazing and pleases from top thrilling moments to powerful emotional ones. The power of Superman is shaking and believable. But that is where you have to stay when you watch this movie. Because...It is an orphan. The threat comes from nowhere and has no history built into it and therefore no cause. A threat such as this cannot just materialize out of nothing. Such threats cannot remain immaterial, they must have connection, context outside of their destruction. This movie gave no indication of even the slightest attempts to bring the story depth and meaning to a larger DC Universe and for this reason, for now, it remains an orphan.Orphans can evoke sympathy and hopefulness that some good comes to them. Perhaps this is what the studios are hoping for now that Marvel has rebooted for an uncertain future of microcosms and toy factories. The real question will be, can the very human anti-hero that DC is so famous for be enough in a world spoiled rotted by gods and powers beyond calculation. Or, is the world ready for the return to willful removal of such things in order to reveal the greatness of an epic story. After all, it's just entertainment...I would recommend seeing this movie because it is the start of something new that will, in my humble opinion, be far more enjoyable to watch grow than Xmen and Marvel Universe reboots. At least for the time being. So grab your popcorn and your favorite drink and sit with those you love and let yourself be taken into a very tight bubble for two hours that will certainly entertain with gadgets, surprise you with the impossible, make you laugh deeply and then show you room for more...
