The real hero is the passthrough charging—I streamed a 4-hour playlist yesterday and my phone went from 45% to 92% while the glasses were running. Zero heat, zero battery anxiety. I’ve been using this official VITURE USB-C XR adapter every day for the past two weeks with my iPhone 17 and Luma Pro XR glasses, and it unlocks everything the glasses are capable of. Picture quality is noticeably better – the moment it’s connected, 3DoF head tracking activates and the virtual 152-inch screen stays perfectly fixed in space as I move my head. Multi-screen mode runs smoothly, colors are richer, and 3D/SBS content finally has real depth instead of looking flat. Connectivity stays rock solid – the magnetic connector snaps on firmly yet releases easily when I’m done. The short, flexible cable never tugs on the glasses, and I’ve had zero disconnections even while walking around or lying in bed. Compatibility is perfect – works straight out of the box with my iPhone 17 (and the listing confirms iPhone 16/15 regular models too). All the advanced features that Android users get with the neckband – SpaceWalker, full-screen mirroring, 180°/360° videos – are now available on my iPhone without workarounds. Ordered two of these from Amazon. Results, discussed in this review were identical. While connecting to a iPhone 16 Pro Max using the OEM Apple charger & cable, the adapter introduced a bunch of horizontal “noise” lines of varying thickness and occasional static pops in the speakers of the glasses before disconnecting after not more than 6 seconds each time. The problem was slightly mitigated (i.e., longer period of connectivity before the connection was dropped) using an aftermarket 30W or 50W charger. No difference when using different cables. Ultimately, this adapter renders the glasses useless. Finally, I tested on the latest generation of iPad Pro, and the problem was significantly reduced, but I observed random white dots throughout the screen. I have returned both adapters.

folks saying this enabled 3dof for the ultras... is simply not true, viture is bringing out a 3rd one that will work for the chip differences of the ultra compared to the pro... If you did buy this and have the ultra Viture has a program where they will validate your purchase and then send you the new version in a few months. this new version will also alow connectivity with the switch 2.

Been using this XR adapter with my VITURE Luma Ultra for a few days and it’s been solid. It doesn’t unlock the full XR features like head tracking or 3D, but it does exactly what I needed—charging passthrough and video/audio output without any hiccups. I can watch and charge at the same time, which is clutch for long sessions. The ports are clearly labeled and the build feels premium despite being super compact. For Ultra users, it’s a reliable accessory that keeps things simple and functional. Definitely glad I added it to my setup.

Ultimately I returned the Viture XR Glasses because of extreme blur and eye fatigue. This device did work with my iPhone 16 pro max and enabled some of the added functionality with the SpaceWalker app. The reason I’m eating only 3 stars, is because I kept having connectivity issues with this device. I would get noise on the screen almost like the connection was bad and it would reoccur pretty frequently.

I changed it from one star to five stars. I underestimated the usefulness of the customer service. Originally, I was complaining that it doesn’t work with the Switch 1 (original). After an email from the Viture customer service, I discovered that I need to disconnect the joy-cons and add the USB-C power to the adapter. The Switch alone doesn’t have enough juice to power up the Viture glasses. That’s why it’s all pitch black. The adapter has two USB-C ports; one for glasses and one for power. D’oh…. I didn’t know. Mine doesn’t come with a clear manual.

More than my expected

I never realised how much I needed this tiny adaptor until it turned up. About the size of a matchbox, it clicks into the iPhone 17’s USB-C socket and quietly takes on two tasks: passing razor-sharp video to the VITURE XR glasses, and keeping the phone topped up at the same time. Head tracking, spatial 3D, multiscreen, all the clever elements appear the instant the blue LED glows, and I have yet to notice so much as a whisper of lag. The build feels properly robust. The connector sits firm and will not budge, even when my five-year-old gives the cable an enthusiastic tug. Heat is kept well under control, and every 30 W charger I own has worked happily through the passthrough port. A quick nod as well to the leaflet in the box: it is clear, well laid out, and printed large enough for me to read without hunting for my glasses. Reliable performance, tidy design and the freedom to wander round the sitting room without a low-battery warning make this an effortless five-star product.
