Works great, with lots of cooking options, for far more than just rice!
I love this rice cooker, with all the convenience it offers. It not only make your rice and grains in it, you can also sauté aromatics to flavor your food. I found this extremely useful, when I wanted to make a pilaf or something else in it. So far I’ve only used it for rice and grains like farro and bulgur (kasha). It makes all kinds of rice; sushi, jasmine, basmati, risotto or any long grain rice, even brown rice. It makes the different kinds of rice and grains, without you worrying about the timing or texture. There are lots of other options on this unit, for making other types of recipes in it. It slow cooks, steams, reheats and many other options as well. It has a digital display, so you know where it is in the cooking process. It lets you know when it is about to finish, and how much time is left. it also has a warming element, which it automatically goes to when the food is cooked. It actually can be used to cook and automatically go to the warm cycle when it’s done. It can be kept for a good amount of time, though you shouldn’t leave rice in it for too long. The pan is nonstick, making it easy to clean. If there is a con for this cooker, it’s that the manual isn’t really clear about the timing and options for grains other than rice. There also isn’t a lot of recipes included with it, or on their website.Their reference to cups of rice and other things it does is that the cup provided for measuring out the food is really onły 3/4 of a cup, not a standard 1 cup. The lines inside the pot are hard to read, and experienced chefs will use the amount of water or broth per the type of rice. They are quite clear however, about the amount that their cup is 3/4 of a cup, not a standard measurement. However I have found that if you use either their cup, or a standard 1 cup, the cooker is very good at discerning how much time it needs to make it. even used my usual method of measuring the liquid by using my finger going up to my knuckle (with my finger to adjust for cooking, regardless of kind or type of rice. I also use the same technique any kind of rice, just remember to put your finger tip down on the top of the rice and liquid.I definitely recommend this rice cooker. I originally bought it to replace a very old rice cooker that I had lost their manual and couldn’t get it off their website.I’m very happy with this brand and what it can doI recommend this choice of brand, with its options and sizes of rice cookers.

The Kitchen Staple I Didn't Know I Always Needed
I'm pretty proficient at making rice, which we love, so I didn't see a reason for getting a rice cooker. However, I saw recipes for rice dishes you could put all together in the rice cooker and it would come out just right. We decided to get this one, after many reviews, and it has been such a nice game changer! Yes, it cooks rice well, and yes, you can put it in an go, but it's the controlled cooking of the rice, off the stove that is nice. We've made several all in one dishes and they do come out really well. We have liked just being able to set it, forget it, and then go about cooking the rest of our dinner without worrying about the rice.I'm really glad we picked this particular cooker. It is not too small, but also not too big. It is durable, with a nonstick bowl inside, and it is not too cumbersome to stay out on the counter. Overall, it has been a great gadget to upgrade our cooking.

An Essential Kitchen Appliance for Over 4 Years!
I’ve had the Aroma Housewares ARC-5200SB Rice & Grain Cooker for over 4 years, and it’s been a daily staple in my kitchen. It’s held up incredibly well, and I use it for everything from rice and grains to slow cooking, soups, and oatmeal. The durability and versatility of this cooker are unmatched. When it finally gave out after years of daily use, I knew I had to purchase the same model again. It’s easy to use, cleans up well, and consistently produces perfect results. If you’re looking for a reliable, multi-functional cooker, this is definitely a great investment! Highly recommend for anyone who needs a dependable kitchen appliance.

Makes great rice!
Works well, I always rinse the rice 3-4 times to prevent sticking. It is quiet and efficient. I use bone broth or bullion diluted instead of plain water without any issues. For the price this is one of the better rice makers.

Great rice cooker
This is a nice cooker, it cooks white rice and brown rice perfectly, I live alone so only cook a cup at a time. The water lines are very visible and make cooking rice so easy. I also use it for oatmeal, don't follow the manuals recommendation for the oatmeal to water ratio, you should do .5 cup to 1 cup with steel cut oats so it doesn't get too creamy. When I followed the manuals oatmeal ratio it boiled over and was obviously way too much water, went into the trash, apparently oatmeal does that in rice cookers due to the starch if the water ratio is off. I also found the manuals steaming time for veggies not accurate, I found they needed like five more minutes when I made broccoli. I wasn't too fond of how steamed chicken turned out when I followed their guide, it seemed pretty overcooked. You can steam eggs by just putting them in the steam tray and doing 6 minutes soft, 8 medium, 10 hard. I haven't used the slow cook function yet, it's rather unclear on how to use it for crockpot recipes because there isn't a high or low setting, they only have a couple slow cooker recipes available on their site. I did follow a recipe for pad thai from them which utilizes the steam function, it turned out pretty good.

Perfect rice... Finally!
Finally I can now make the perfect white rice! This is the best size for 2-3 people and I don't have to worry about having extra left overs. So easy you use and takes up no space at all. I wish I had gotten this sooner.

cooking like instant pot. low power
the rice cooker works very good for white rice but brown rice dose need more time and water its in the manual. the lid can be hard to clean depending what was cooked. some cooking issues i noticed when cooking soup you may have to restart soup mode if too much is added later. i have made a (2) box corn bread. with this rice cooker cant do small batches. soup i make water 532 grams water, 56 grams meat, 56 grams pasta, 56 grams vegetable, add spices and little oil. rice cooker can make that.
